It was our 5 week (5,200 mile) trip back in 2023. We left AZ and went to Grand Teton, NP, Glacier NP, then made our way through Montana and stopped at the Little Big Horn Battlefield. From there we made our way to SD where we rented a cabin for 2 weeks and saw Mt. Rushmore at night (did the day trip the year before) and Crazy Horse along with a bunch of tother sites there. On our way home through CO we decided to spend the 4th of July in Pagosa Springs before making our way back home to AZ. It was a great trip and now that we're back in AZ we're hopping to take a similar one soon.

Amazing view!

Would be nice to look at the porch. Hows the fish in the lake?
It was one of our favorite hikes on our trip. I'm not sure about the fishing there it's called Avalanche lake and there might be more info online about it.

The only thing we saw was this little guy. 😁 He kept climbing up my leg trying to get me to feed him some of my trail mix. lol

For me it was the first over night trip out on the trail in Colorado with my 2019 Ranger. It was on the Reno Divide Trail on 4th of July Weekend. Unfortunately I was a bit unprepared for the night stay, but the trail was pretty awesome!

The next was taking it up Mosquito Pass. It was always a goal and I finally did it with that truck. It was a fun trail to do and certainly recommended for many

Later I did Hagerman Pass as well. It is a fun Rail Route from the old days with great views especially in the Fall!

Next we have the old 93 Pathfinder. I took that on a bunch of wheeling trips and it really surprised me. The most fun was doing the Tincup Loop which includes Hancock Pass, Cumberland Pass and Tincup Pass. On stock wornout suspension and worn out 31's, it gave another Ranger a run for its money.

Last but not least is the 2012 Frontier I currently have. The first overnight trip I got to do was a bit of the Colorado Backcountry Discover Route with some other routes nearby. It was a nice trip to gauge what I should do to the truck to suite my wants and needs.

Several times a year I make the 1100+ km trek down to the folk's place in the Blue Ridge Mountains of NC

On the way down once; not too happy about being left out in the cold rain while we're inside having a nice, warm meal.

Then there's the camping trips all over Ontario; this one's in Algonquin

It’ll have to wait until after I retire, but THAT is a trip I simply must make with
my Ranger.

Bit jelly here looking at those awesome pics. Glad you got to do it.
It was a quick and dirty road trip for me and there is a lot more to see than the highlights I showed. I hope you get the chance.

You’ve got a beautiful country. I’ve been up there a gazillion times the past decade plus. Unfortunately 99% of that is working. And I don’t get to AB and/or BC near as much as I’d like. Love that area. Need to find a “business reason” ;) to change that during my last couple of years before parole. I mean retirement.

Now just to keep it real so you don’t think I’m some sort of “everything is perfect!” 🇨🇦 fanboy…. Traffic in the GTA sucks. Truly. It gives LA a run for its money. And while we are at it you can have the traffic in Montreal as well. Although those drivers and their high jinks are fun to watch during rush hour.
