Anyone ever deal with this pesty noise?

At idle and driving, sounds like it’s happening in the dash. Usually occurs when outside temps are around 70 degrees.

dealership can’t replicate and is gaslighting me. lol

Does the noise stop if you turn off the HVAC system? It might be an HVAC damper motor cycling because of a binding air damper.

So the sounds does seem to be a symptom of the HVAC.

2021 Lariat
Couple of weeks ago the dealer pulled a code for B11E6. The RH temperature door actuator was replaced. But the noise persists. Is there a seperate actuator on the left for dual climate? If yes, Is the LH door actuator the one that required the dash being pulled?

Yes, there are several blend door actuators on the dual climate system. I believe that some here have replaced an actuator on the left side without removing the dash, but had to drill a hole through a bracket to gain access to a screw. I could be wrong on this.

Yea. I found a post of someone doing it without removing the dash. Going to the dealer today. My ext warranty is still active.

Dealer says they can’t replicate the noise. 🙄

They probably turned off the climate control so they could hear better without the fan blowing.

I may or may not be kidding.

Are there any new DTC codes? If you look under the dash, maybe you can see if one of the actuators is cycling which would create the noise.

With this not being the normal (loud clicking) sound, it sounds like the actuator is hunting for correct position. Might just need a recalibration.
Pull the FCIM Fuse #12 in the cabin fuse box for a few minutes and then reinstall.

Unfortunately it didn’t work.

Dealers telling me normal conditions.
