oh God no. We’ve gone hard blue. 3 day waiting period, 6.5% tax (on top of the 8.75 sales and 1.5 PIF), mandatory background checks on all sales, 15 round maximum capacity on all magazines. All in the name of keeping the criminals at the advantage.

How generous. They passed 10rd limit + bunch other crazy restrictions few years ago, but thankfully court shot it down citing state constitution. Heard again earlier this year they were somehow working them into law, but it's been a few months & I haven't heard a thing about it. Hopefully it hit a legal snag again. Like you said, all to give criminals the edge & also potentially turning law abiding people into criminals.

RMGO (Rocky Mountain Gun Owners) has been know to take all the donations they get and do nothing during the legislation period. They've actually lost a lot of money because they were pushing slightly less restrictive laws (Read: 15 round limits instead of 14. Like, yes, its better than they were going to pass but... you're barely better than them. That was an example to make a point but... you get the idea.)

Here in Oregon it's actually pretty miraculous compared to the rest of the west coast(California & Washington). Gun laws in those states doesn't even resemble US laws anymore. Might as well be Canada or Europe.

I've been really impressed with Taurus the past several years. I would actually consider a Raging Hunter in 500 S&W. I definitely wouldn't have considered the 20 years ago.

I cheaply bought a G3C a couple years ago used, and it was in ugly shape. It turned out, with a deep cleaning, inside and out, it was actually really nice. I enjoy shooting it, and it is a great size for IWB carry. I scored a hell of a deal on a T.O.R.O. slide from a connection with their marketing team, and it now wears a Holosun 407C.

My most recent project is a Ruger 10/22 rifle that I build from all used parts except for the scope and pins. I scored a used receiver off GunBroker, and the rest came from eBay (except for one trigger group pin I dropped on the floor and ordered from Midwest Gun Parts, and added the scope to that purchase at the same time). I stripped and refinished the stock because someone had installed the rear sling swivel stud crooked, and I refinished the barrel.

Although I prefer American made iron, we do own a couple of Tauruses. Decent quality for the money. Wife has a 9 shot 22 revolver that has been trouble free.

I picked up a Mossberg SA-20 Tactical 20 Gauge Autoloader a few years back, Bumped it to 7 round capacity from 5. Exported from Turkey. It has been very reliable, but took a while before it would eject cheap rounds. Never failed with the higher quality shells. It is very light at 5.75 lbs and my bride can handle it well. It is perfect for home protection. 20" barrel, overall length 38.75"

It certainly seems like they do make some models in GA, they at least do the warranty work there.
Mine was made in Brazil though.

i have a couple of taurus and really like them. both chambered in 22 LR. semi-auto mag takes 15. i carry the wheelgun and its so light i hardly know i have it on.

Seems like it is the guys who had a bad experience in the past, or guys who have never owned one dont like them. Seems like everyone who does own Taurus loves it to some extent

I've got a couple of inexpensive S&W 40 cal handguns. They are reliable and shoot fine. But I like my Sigs better. I even like my 22 SIG Mosquito, and no one likes them!. It lets me practice my SIG skills with 22 ammo. It's my wife favorite!.

I like the AR15 platform, but I like my later model Ruger Mini 14 too. And the Ruger 22 Takedown rifle.

It is funny how it works. I picked up an old 1950's Sears 12G Pump shotgun. Boy is it a smooth operating shotgun.

But my granddaddy's (sold by Sears) heavy Steven's side by side double barrel kicks like a mule. Even as a young man that gun worked over my shoulder.

But my granddaddy used it for years in the rice fields hunting raccoons at night with his Redbone coonhound.

I watched him skin and tan raccoon hides as a child. Then sell the hide for $5 stretched out on a stand by the highway. My grandma would cook no more than 2 each year. Too much work she'd say.

I like the memories.... and I like guns! All of them!
