Does anybody here happen to own a Beretta 21a Bobcat?
I snagged this for a song, and almost have it all the way back together (waiting on the barrel and mainspring assembly to arrive) but have some questions about the slide.

Been running into different challenges with my AR pistol. This Mk18/BCM lower was working just fine. It has Law Tactical folder, which lets me fold it & fit it inside 5.11 Rush24 backpack(still tight fit. *pictured is different 5.11 bag).

Still, I've been interested in HK MR556A4 11", but they kept climbing in price so I thought I was done with that idea until they came out with just the upper assembly. HK says it comes with everything you need to pair with standard AR lower, so I ordered it.

MR556 is a piston system upper, one of the reasons why I wanted to try it out, as I've never even shot a piston AR before. However it presented the first problem: This upper has unique buffer/spring not compatible with the Law Tactical folder system on my BCM lower(supposedly Law Tactical does make one compatible with HK piston upper). Bummer, but not the end of the world. I did have extra lower by FN, so I paired the two & headed to the woods to try it out, which lead to the second issue: *Click* no bang. After reading up online supposedly you need milspec trigger to make it go. Next day I took Daniel Defense lower + Aero Precision & it shot with both, so while FN was supposed to have a milspec trigger also obviously something's off. I picked up a takeoff one from local store & installed it, now it shoots fine.

It looks pretty good in the pics, but it's not a good looking AR in real life. My third problem. lol

Left is the earlier setup, right is latter with different brace. I hate the look of both although they do look cool in these pictures.

Colorado is stupid. My 3 day wait took 5 days, for some reason but I brought her home today. CR920X. I need to find the screws for my Swampfox Sentinel II, turns out the Hellcat Pro uses a different thread pitch.
what happened there? I always thought they were a 2A friendly state

oh God no. We’ve gone hard blue. 3 day waiting period, 6.5% tax (on top of the 8.75 sales and 1.5 PIF), mandatory background checks on all sales, 15 round maximum capacity on all magazines. All in the name of keeping the criminals at the advantage.

My latest project...
Winchester 1400 receiver I picked up for $20.

I scoured the E of Bays, GunBroker, and Midwest Gun Parts for parts and have been working on getting this all put together. The first barrel I got was ringed. Thankfully they took it back! The forend I found on eBay was cracked, but I decided to fix it myself because it was so cheap.

The shotgun has been together and apart now a bunch of times. The biggest headache so far was the magazine tube. It is pressed into the receiver. You actually have to press it in too far, past it's splines, so you can drop a magazine feed throat into the receiver and spin the mag tube to thread it into the throat. You then have to press the mag tube back out to seat the mag throat and splines. It's a huge PITA! And it turns out the first mag tube I tried this with was out of round and would spin to thread into the mag throat. But eventually I got that all sorted.

Another issue- the 1400 trigger assembly I originally off eBay turned out to be for a 1200 pump shotgun. That has also been rectified.

All together...

And back apart again for refinishing, and back together again (mostly)...

I'm working on refinishing the wood stocks right now.

1st Pistol ever, Canik Elite TP9 . Although I have a concealed carry permit I won't carry it, bought it for safety reasons when I go boondocking. Wife wants to learn how to shoot so warning to all within a 200 mile radius, take cover.

After I posted my Winchester shotgun project this morning (a couple posts above this one), I went down to the garage and started in on refinishing the stock set for the shotgun. I am so damn happy and excited with how this turned out!

First, the before and after with how I received it (top) and how it looks now.
