Finally got a Bestop Colapsable Rear step but..........

Paid over $340 including shipping and been searching for one for along time.....only to now deal with returning this.

The Amazon listing in your link says the manufacturing number is 7531715, so it doesn't match what is on your box.

I've sent an email directly to Bestop to clarify if this was discontinued, and that someone on thier Amazon Store messed up.... I notice there's 2 used ones listed on the Amazon for half the price...... I'm tempted to buy one but feared that maybe these returns are also the same part number I got and its not for a Ranger.......

I had a disappointing experience with Bestop. To be fair it was during the Pandemic, but I waited over 9 months for my Trekstep before cancelling my order. Communication was poor, but I did finally get my refund.
Yours looks like a careless mistake by the order picker who probably didn't read the invoice properly.

On their website they don’t list the step as available for Rangers, so I’m wondering if the Amazon listing is old and you just got sent whatever Amazon had in their warehouse.

I own one for the Ranger. There is a plastic insert that slips into a slot in the frame that keeps the step centered when you tighten it up. So, if you buy it used, make sure to contact the seller and verify it comes with all the parts.

FWIW, I like my step a lot, and the only thing a little futzy with the install is the above mentioned insert.

I have the DeeZee. It works well. I wondered about hanging up or busting my shin on it, but it’s never been a problem, so I’m glad I saved the money.

Same here....have had one for going on 3 years now and have never hit it with any part of my bod......never even considered the Bestop..

Well......just when you thought things will get better.....apparently my DeeZee Step was missshipped to the wrong address.
Ended up in Louisiana. How did FedEx mixed up Guam with Louisiana....
Anyways seller is reshipping me one to my correct address, so guess I'll have to wait another weekend before installing one.
In the mean time, I'll just keep my handy step stool around until my DeeZee step arrives....

Literally took only three minutes to install.
Helps when you got a dewalt impact driver.....
