I kind of just ignored it since for a while, but starting to bug me. I know there are some trucks making it out the factory with hood alignment issues anyone else having problems with the doors?

Both my front doors, when completely shut stick out about a quarter inch from the rear doors.

The F150's years back had some of these issues. You can talk to your dealer and have them make you an appointment to take it to a reputable body shop to have them aligned. Just make sure the door seals are tight, no leaks and no wind noise or rattles. My doors sit pretty flush, maybe out 1/8" on drivers side, I can live with that.

Jack, I agree with Kevin. Mustangs had the hood problem a couple years back, and the wife's Mustang had the hood off to the tight. The dealer took care of the problem before we picked it up. Stop by your dealers body shop, and talk with them. They may be able to say some words that make you comfortable with letting them line your doors. I understand how things like that can bother folks. With my "little things" OCD they drive me nuts. :)

Hi Jack,

Should be adjustable to fix your concern....mine are perfect on both sides...¼" is excessive and never should have made it past the final line QC.

I have the super cab and my rear door was out of alignment so bad that it rubbed paint off the pillar when opened. Dealer fixed that for me. Its still a little closer than I’m happy with but it’s not rubbing. I’ve just noticed my hood is out of alignment a tad to the passenger side. I’m hoping I can fix it myself. I’ve only had the truck for a month. Piss poor QA from Ford. Never owned a vehicle with this problem.

I've had the 19 Ranger 22 a 24 and now 25.

The 19 was the only one that was flawless.

The new 25 has the door issue on back driver side rear door.

The 24 even had the fuel tank sticker upside down. Dash lights would come on starting with less than 120 miles on it. Loss of power on occasion

22 had the hood Miss alignment issue.

I'm not afraid to say it the union wanted more money but they sure don't work for it.

Side body panels that are properly aligned to the one next to it....the back edge will be ever so slightly be 'sticking out' from the leading edge of the panel behind it.
If you stand at your tail light, look down the side of your vehicle at just the correct angle, you should see the back edge of the front fender will be out just a bit from the front edge of your door. The back of the door will be slightly out from the leading edge of the back door. And onwards, panel by panel as you go to the rear of the vehicle.
Of course, standing at the tail light you may not see all the way to the front fender. You may have to walk forward with your eyes looking down the body.
You've got a problem when....if you stand 8 feet out from your vehicle and look sideways at it, and see the misalignment!!

That's the way 'it's supposed to be' anyway. The way things are slapped together quickly today to save a buck, plus the differences from one manufacturer to another, it's hard to know what a person will discover when they look at their vehicle. My old Volvo 240's from the 80's, you could see it, and feel the properly aligned body parts when you run your finger down the crease between the front fender and front door. The fender was out a bit from the door.

This! I believe this is old school knowledge but so true. Better for aero, wind noise, and paint wear. I have seen so many people do it too much or flush everything up. The minor raise is perfection.
