totaled mine out a year ago on the explorer now not ever going back to the bowtie after my last one .. some on here are talking like there bullet proof .........

My buddy had a colorado, had 30k head went bad, 3 mo wait for repairs. He decided to trade it to the dealer for a full size that he couldn't afford so no gm for me.

I did a bit of research before I tested one last Friday.

Early on, they had quite a few electrical gremlins that GM seems to have gotten a handle on.

No real mechanical issues that are common, though you have to keep in mind that the oldest one of the current generation is only a couple of years old.

The 2.7 turbo 4 in them has proven to be pretty good in the Silverado in the later years.

That said, I wasn't overly impressed with it.

Aside from being a great looking truck and the transmission working better than the 10R80 or the 10R60 in the 2025 Ranger I drove, there was nothing else about it that would make me trade my Ranger for it.

Haven't pretended I have a ZR2 yet and gone on their forums (NOT sorry Tacomaworld , I lied, but you guys deserved it...) but the Cybertruck forums have been pretty fun lately... (I go by "NotElon" over there...)

If you get bored go drive a different ranger with the 10r60 an compare. I have a bronco with the 10r60 an it's night an day better shifting than the '19 ranger I had. I put the Livernois tune in with soft shift an that seemed to make it livable.

My bronco has a 2.3 so it may shift differently in a 2.7, who knows.

I also drove a 2025 Ranger Lariat with the 2.7 and the 10R60 Friday.

The ZR2 trans drove better.

Look up the chevy pass lock system. Guaranteed to even stop the owner from starting the car one day. After fixing 20-30 of those for friends, because the dealer wanted $900, I will never own a chevy.
