The fitting that connects their brake line to the chassis side hard line doesn't fit. I'm working with their engineering to see what's going on.

this has turned into a giant CF. I have no idea if Ford changed thread pitches or what, but I am going to have to take the brake line off again, check the thread pitch with a pitch tool I just ordered, put it back together (for a second time) and work with Wilwood to get the correct fittings. I called Napa (because Ford thinks their parts people are too fucking stupid to provide thread pitches) and they say the thread pitch is 3/8 x 24. Wilwood says it is M10 x 1.5. Those are *very* close, but different enough.

Once this is done, you better believe this kit will be sorted out. I should give them a bill for my time. Well... for @Goyo86's time... He's helping me where my skills/facilities lack.

You're telling me. I was so excited. Now I'm sad. But... I am working towards a solution and these will get on the truck.

I am assuming you are talking about this

Brake Hose.webp

I cannot find specs on Thread Size, but did find the Hard-Line P/N that joins the Flex Hose
I tried Google searching specs on the part number - no luck

You are a god among men, my friend. That's the part. I'll call my dealer and see if there are any around town.

Is cutting the fitting off the oem and re flaring on the lines out of the question?
Its not out of the question but it is another thing that could fail. I thought about this option too, but... its a last resort for @Goyo86 and me.

I did also look up the Wilwood fittings for -3 AN to 3/8 x 24 and -3 AN to M10 x 1.0. Total cost to order them from Summit Racing would be $50 and then I have all 3 of the potential sizes on hand for the next attempt. Honestly, that seems like the easiest move right now. I can try to return the extras when I find the right part.

Well good to hear you haven’t reached last resort scenario?.. hope you’ve got plenty of pics and notes for a full write up..(pretty please?). Better brakes is definitely something on my list.

To each his own, but that light would be incredibly distracting to me while driving.
