Installed the Mishimoto Coolant Expansion Tank. I bought it used but basically brand new. Tried to go with the polished look. Hated it. Tore it out, painted it, and re-installed it in @ 90 minutes. Paint matches my engine cover now.

I suppose it does look better than OEM, esp as plastic yellows over time.

Any other benefits other than cleaner appearance?

It does have a nice site window on the side to see the fill level. And it should last forever. But it doesn't add anything performance'wise. The OEM piece only has 15k miles on it so it hasn't gone bad yet. But I've had them fail in other vehicles so I decided to eliminate the problem from existence.

Right on. Always wanted to buy one myself but that Gucci price tag was enough to keep me away.

Rather buy an air fryer with the money, personally.

I couldn't resist. A guy on a Facebook forum was selling it for $180 and he was a 30 minute drive from my house. I would never pay the retail price for one. But I do like the look now that it's painted.

I’ve had good luck with Chemical Guys All In One. It’s not very aggressive so you might have to go over it a couple of times

Ouch! Ironic that I had these out today. Couple of scratches on the pass side of the box. Got them better but not perfect.

My guess is that buffing that will have similar results. Better but not perfect.

Eli what a bummer. Is the bumper pushed down a bit as well? Do I also see damage above it on the panel?

No. Looks like someone hit me with a plastic bumper. But the hitch is perfectly fine!! So of course it was missed, and the bumper was hit instead. It looks okay. If anything, its pushed to the cab. Just ever so slightly. Its just a paint tranfer from the other vehicle. So it appears. Ill work on it tomorrow. Thats why we cant have nice things.
