8492 - 2019 Ranger - Trailer Brake Controller Availability

I've been following the install thread for the brake controllers and shopped for the Ford controller specifically since I've got AEB. I'd be happy to pay the extra cost over the Redarc pro but the Ford part has been discontinued even though I find the part listed all over the place. Attempt to purchase one and the cart errors out
... cause no one actually stocks them, they drop ship from Ford. With so many new vehicles equipped with AEB you'd think Redarc would integrate the feature in an upgraded model.

Unless they do and I'm not finding it.

I tried that link and got an error message at checkout as well. Benny at Levittown said he couldn't get them, he says they are out of production ?

No one has part number VKB3Z2C006A any more.

and TASCA claims to have over 60 'in stock.' OK, I placed an order without an error message but did get a 'this item is on backorder and may be delayed' after paying so I'm suspicious. TASCA is an established vendor so we'll see.

I had hoped they had some New Old Stock but we'll see.

30coupe - that one works great I have it on my 2019 Ranger Lariat - I don’t use the cruise when towing so the extra lumen module wasn’t a big deal for me. I have had that kit for about 3 years works great no issues at all. Install was super easy I had the wiring already under the dash.

Good to know! I was thinking of mounting it in the driver's side 12V port like the guy at eTrailer did, but yours looks nice too.

I bought the Lightforce switch panel which they claim is designed to house the Redarc control along with two additional switches. Since sometime off in the future I'd like to get power running boards I got a custom printed/lit switch for that and they included a generic switch with the panel.

If TASCA doesn't come through I'll just get the Redarc.
