Bah, winters here have really slowed down - I doubt I'll get to use the snow chains this season. =(

I used the leaf blower to clear Soupie and do the driveway this morning - works great but doesn't feel very manly! =D

Really? Since moving further away from Lake Ontario and to a slightly higher elevation, we get a lot more snow and it’s a challenge to keep my driveway clear. However, the view out back is worth it and the backyard always looks great first thing in the morning after a snowfall…

Then, the squirrels wake up, run around all over the place, leave tracks everywhere, and it looks like crap in no time. ?

Here also, I'm are 31 F now and their predicting 50s tomorrow. We've had a total of 5 inches over 3 "storms" this winter. What is left of that will be gone by tonight. Farmers will be crying for moisture this spring. Of course their always crying, either too wet or too dry, never just right. ?
We've had 2 snowfalls of 2" and 5" and both were gone within a couple days which was nice. lol I always said that I never minded the snow all that much it was the bitter cold and single digit temps. Last week it was 2* one morning and now this. I'll take it! :sun:

Closer to the truth than you realize. Their spokesperson, the local feral cat, stopped by the rec room this morning to have a meeting…

Simple:

Every rain drop before May decreases the crop yield, every rain drop between May and July increases the crop yield and every rain drop July onwards decreases the crop yield.

Went up to the cottage to check on things this morning. You sure can tell which counties have adequate snow removal plans/equipment/budgets. Not mentioning names, PERTH COUNTY, but it was a crazy midwestern Ontario version of Ice Road Truckers driving through your area.

It’s interesting how the gyroscope built into your butt goes off way before the traction control warning light on the dash. The Ranger delivered me safely and even had a chance to use 4H for the short waltz up the driveway.

Here it is outside while I was inside making sure all was good indoors.

This shot shows how it’s drifting up on the front lawn but I was really trying to get a good shot of the ice buildup on the shoreline and dark clouds on the horizon that are loaded with moisture and on their way in.

That snow fence doesn’t really look like it’s doing its job but it’s not there for the snow. It’s intentionally positioned on the beach to help keep the “Gales of November” from making my lawn into a sand dune.

You and me both, James. More on the way tonight, bringing 6-12” of snow to my area after streaking through KS, MO, IL, IN, OH, MI, KY, on its way to the northeast. Get ready for it to pile up quickly too - weather reports say more than an inch per hour in my area. I have the batteries for my snowblower charged but I may need a plow setup like yours. ?

It has come in really handy over the years. The Ranger is the 3rd vehicle I have used it on. My driveway is not really long, but it has a slope to it, so gotta get it pretty clean.

It’s a Toro Flex Force 60V 20” - it’s small but mighty - very lightweight so it’s Duke-propelled. My FIL bought it the winter before he moved into a retirement condo and never used it, so he gave it to me. It works just fine for my driveway. I might buy the Toro Flex Force lawnmower that uses the same batteries.
