Bluetooth is connecting BUT NOT MY MUSIC!

Ugh!!!! I'm beyond frustrated!! My Bluetooth is connecting to the truck no problem. Able to send and receive calls. BUT it's not automatically connecting to my music, therefore when I wanna listein to Apple Muaic I have to go into Bluetooth audio manually on the truck and connect it... is this a truck or phone problem?

I received a recall notice for the head unit on my truck. Not exactly sure why but there is some kind of problem. Not sure what years the recall is for, mine is a 23 model. Vague info i know, just something else to check.

For my Apple Music I go to audio, sources, iPhone. Then I use Apple Music right through the speakers

If you are on v3.3, it’s most likely never been updated. The latest version is v3.4, build 23188. Go to this website:

https://www.ford.com/support/sync-maps-updates/

Enter your VIN and you can download the update and then put it on a USB. Be sure to follow the instructions exactly. Also, be aware that the look of Sync3 will be a little different with 3.4. I would also highly recommend a master reset prior to the update and maybe again after the update since yours is so old. You’ll need to set up everything from scratch after a master reset.
