My Ranger went to the dealer today to have the HVAC fan inspected. Failed. Now we wait...

Edit: Bloody autocorrect. Stupid piece of shut.

I finally brought it home today! I have an appointment for a Turboliner install on Tuesday although I've already used the bed. Hauled my bike rack off my old car back home from the dealership. I'm so excited to finally have a truck!

Yes, kinda limited what lights we can use because of the sonar... I installed it, but will not add lights till after I install the grill. Pretty sturdy, no vibration so far...

As it stands there is about 2 or so inches between it and the emblem. There are plenty of 2" lights out there but not once you add the brackets.

Maybe some low profile LED lights? Post up some pictures when you get it all together!

How long of a wait or did they give you any ETA? I thought my truck was going to be in the recall as I was thinking it was built in August but it was actually July.

Didn't provide an ETA, but did tell my wife it could be a month. He couldn't see any inventory at all. Based on the other thread, I expect not that long. PNW_Ranger87 got his in one week. I'm thinking at least that plus a couple of days to cross the border.

Do they do anything to the truck in the meantime or just hope for the best until the new part comes in?

If it fails it's off the road until the part comes in. Like he said I got one in a week so they are definitely shipping. With recall parts like that they won't show in stock at the PDCs (part distribution centers) just yet since it was just released and they're only shipping limited quantities.

Just hope for the best. Short of unplugging the blower motor and not having any HVAC, there's not much they can do.

Just finished a complete detail last night. Wash, clay, paint prep (to strip off the dealer applied paint sealant),Opti-Seal and finally Optimum car wax. I was surprised how much contaminants were in the paint while claying. Very rough while doing the plastic bag test but now smooth and silk!
