LOL, my friend says it's a nice looking unit and would work far better on cleaning my their house and sidewalks than the two electric ones I have that they borrow. =D

Took advantage of a 70 day here and gave it a bath. I bought a new gas pressure washer and wanted to try it out so I killed two birds with one stone. My electric washer just didn't put out enough pressure (most electric ones don't) to make the foam cannon run as it should. This one works so much better and really foams it up good and it was on sale at Costco and came with a couple free extras. What's nice is it has a pressure adjustment knob so you can dial it down from 3,400 psi to a garden hose spray if needed.

Traded my '21 STX for this '24 XLT High, FX4, 2.7V6:

1. Better, firmer ride.
2. Quieter, less wind noise.
3. More power.
4. Nicer interior.
5. No worries about 'water in plug 4' (V6).
6. No worries about fan clutch, it's 2 electric fans.
7. No worries about carbon build up on valves, it's DI and Port injected.
8. The 10R60 shifts a LOT more smoothly that the 10R80.
9. No shudder on take-off.
10. No micro vibrations from drive shaft at 73MPH.

Thanks for the heads up Tony but it's the angle of the pictures that looks like it is out. But you made me second guess it and just looked in the garage to make sure. lol :whew:

Mark, I added them back in (I think) May right before we moved from AZ. I had the lights from my Jeep and only needed to buy the brackets.

Put the winter wiper blades on today. Snow expected later this week.
For the sunbelt folks, yes winter wiper blades are a thing.

Moved? Fled, more likely.

Probably trying to hide from a damper anti-trust lawsuit! =p

Be careful of the low priced gas ones. I bought a generac several years ago and the pump went out just after the warranty ran out. Was told the low cost pumps only have a 50 hour rated pump and most people don't use them 50 hours in the first year when I called to buy a replacement pump :frown:.

I've been power washing for over 40 years, it was a second business I had. While true there are cheaper pumps in the lower cost units the main problem is most people have no clue how to run a gas power washer. Not saying that some don't die because they're cheap (heck, even expensive stuff is junk today) but it is the main cause.

1) You can not let them idle for more than a minute or two or it will damage the pump, even a high priced pump.

2) If you're not going to use them for a month or more (this goes for electric ones too) you need to add some pump saver to them. I just use RV antifreeze because you can buy a gallon of it for around $4.00. Take about 2'- 3' of old garden hose with the male end and add a funnel to it and attach it to the inlet. You only need to pour about 8-10 ounces (tilt the machine backwards) into it and that will keep the pump from getting all messed up from hard water deposits.

3) Which should be obvious is make sure you stabilize the gas.

I've had $400 units and $5,000 units (that one was a hot box unit) and never once have I ever had any problems with them as long as you maintain them right

Here's picture of a hose/funnel setup similar to mine.

Generac and most cheap ones use a wobble plate type pump with a minimum of 50 hours up to about 400 hours life (they had a very high pressure rating for that type of pump causing short life). I replaced the pump on mine with a good axial pump rated for 800 to 1000 hours (cost more then the whole washer when new) and the high end ones come with plunger type pumps that run for thousands of hours before maintenanceis required. Maintenance helps but using them for hours at a time for equipment cleaning and things like wet blasting puts a hurting on the low cost pumps. I have a cheap Ryobi electric one now that I can't kill and it's handy for light jobs when I don't want to drag the gas one out.

I use to use mine for 6-8 hours a day but now it's just for my truck and around the new house. I use to abuse my smaller washer and forgot to change the oil in for 3 years. That thing was bulletproof and luckily had a reliable Honda engine on it. lol Believe it or not this one has an axial pump but I'm sure it's not the high end one but still a good pump for a cheap gas washer.

Yeah, my electric one still runs good and wont die either but they just don't put out enough psi to run a foam cannon well. I mean they work ok but you get much better performance out of a gas one pushing higher psi out of it.

I like a lot of foam! o_O
