Off work at 1 pm, had a destination but needed to stop at home to grab an item. Outside temp 105, pulled in garage, left truck running, in house about maybe 10 minutes if that. Returned to truck, have a temp gauge on phone via OBDII port, gauge indicating 205 ish, maybe a little higher. Drove off immediately noticed a noise that sounded like a rub?? So hard to describe a noise, definitely not a tickings sound, noise followed rpm, very audible. Came to a stop light, put it in neutral and slightly revved the engine, noise still there. Drove off, once truck temp dropped to approximately 200 noise disappeared and did not return. Something got hot, my thoughts were the turbo. As it cooled clearances improved. Noise has not returned. Supposed to be 106 today, will see if it returns.
