Bakflip MX4 troubles with warranty

Has anyone had any experiences of Bakflip warranties?
I purchased an MX4 and installed myself and after only 3 months one of the rubber hinges between the hard panels has started to shrink and is now 1/2” to short and when it rains the water pours in. I don’t see a way to repair it.
I have emailed and called the manufacturer and was told verbally they would send a replacement as my cover falls within a time frame of manufacture with know issues with the rubber hinges but after 2 more failed attempts to call and 2 ignored emails I’m getting disheartened. I’m a couple of weeks into this process.
Any advice welcome.

I have actually bought a post warranty one, and had my ( later purchased) own warrantied with no issues. Normally they are really good about this. ?

I have a Bakflip MX4 on my 2023 Ranger and had to use warranty to get extra spacers for mine and had no problems at all but who did you call because as far as I know there is no Bakflip any longer it is taken care of through a company called RealTruck.com that is who I called and had no problems at all.

Yes I am calling Realtruck. I think maybe I will have to be more persistent.

I put one of these on my XLT and it worked beautifully. Only had one latch that had a small issue and they sent one right out to me. Fixed and worked perfect from then on.

Sorry to hear you are having trouble. I find it is all about getting to right person to handle your
issue... but if they are not responding that is tough.

I hate to say it but you may want to keep trying with a phone call until you actually talk to a real person. which these days is hard because most companies have gone to robotic answering.....

I have the linex version that’s the same thing and not sure if the companies are related in terms of customer service but have been trying to get a corner cap after they sent me out the wrong one for over two years. Won’t be buying any linex stuff besides liner in the future that’s for sure

Mine came with all the latch bracket screws overtightened and stripped in the cover extrusions. Called customer support and a new lid was shipped out the next day. Just needed to email pics and a sales receipt.

Update. I managed to get a callback and they again agreed to send out a new cover in the next couple of days.

Replacement received thank you.
The design has changed so not just a swap with the old cover as now the connection to the rails are slightly different and the rails need to be swapped out as well. It will take a little longer but I am grateful for the warranty.

Oh no. Old cover removed and start to install new cover and missing spacers for bed rails have stopped work.

I will call tomorrow and hopefully they can expedite as I have an upcoming road trip that will be difficult without the cover.

Starting to get annoyed with this process now as I’m not the quickest at installing these things and don’t have the spare time to keep wasting.
