Too funny Steve - the 4g Taco ad was showing on my screen when you posted that, which gave me an immediate comparison.

Twinning!

I find the new Tacoma to be unattractive.

It's JMHO, but that and $12 will get you a small coffee at Starbucks.

Midsize truck ranking according to looks, according to me. And my opinion counts the most, to me anyway:

1. Chevy Colorado. They just look great. Still would not be likely to buy one, but they look great. GM nailed it in that department. The Canyon version less so.

2. 6G Ranger. Nice, though I don't know yet if it's an improvement over 5G. The Raptor is an exception as they do indeed look great.

3. Frontier. Sad that it has just been refreshed and is already outdated. They look pretty good in Pro4X trim.

4. Jeep Gladiator. Not a fan, though they look a lot better with better wheels and tires. Can guarantee that I would never buy one. Most of the people I know with a Gladiator, the reason I know they have a Gladiator is because they are anxious to tell me they have a Gladiator. OK. It does look better than the Tacoma.

6th. New Ranking due to HUGE front end compared to the rest of the truck. Ewww. Tacoma. WAY too many angles, many of which seem to just be glued wherever there was space to put one. Maybe they'll look better with bigger tires and wheels but every one that I've seen personally has been singularly unattractive.

5th. New Ranking due to being unable to unsee the gargantuan front section of the Tacoma. At least the Ridgeline is proportioned correctly. Honda Ridgeline. Lol, Wut?

They outsourced the Tacoma design to the Gladiator team.
I forgot to add the Gladiator to my list!

But then I often forget the Gladiator exists.

Gotta fix that.

I hope Jeep got their stuff together, but back in the nineties a friend bought a new Cherokee. I borrowed it once to pick up a cabinet, and there was a gap in the front door big enough to stick your, er..... finger into. If it were mine, I would have driven it straight back to the dealer and given them the keys. Course, it would never have been mine in the first place.

HaHaHa !!!!! I bought one back in 1986, and I hadn't made it home the first day before the drivers seat recliner lever fell off. From then on it was a losing battle to keep parts attached to that Jeep. Knobs would fall off, interior panels would come lose.....was like driving one of those clown cars you see at a circus where it just falls apart.
And, that was back when the warranty was 12 months/12, 000 miles.

Funny but that happy face look on the front of the Honda appeals to me. Just simple and easy to clean. All the rest look angry and homely with bug catcher cracks.

It does have a grin, doesn’t it? At first, I thought you were referring to the Tacoma, which I think looks more like Walter.

Definitely angry, ugly, and plenty of crevices for bugs ?

Huh. A little too flashy for me but I think the lower trims of it looks great. I am also in the “I think the Honda ridgeline is a nice looking truck” camp as well. I have seen some cool ridgelines around recently.
