I found some mouse damage this morning in the engine bay. Not exactly sure when it occurred, been a couple weeks since I've had the hood open. In the picture you can see that the wiring from the battery connector that goes to a harness in the center of the battery and to the left side has been cut. Can someone tell me what this wiring is for and what the damage will affect? The truck runs and starts and has no warning lights or messages.

I'd say the mouse did you a favor and took out the bms sensor. If you had been using ASS it is now disabled if it ate thru the bms wire.

The Red wire runs over to the Positive Post (BMFL) and the White wire runs to the BCM which appears to run down into the harness down beside the battery from the pic

You are better off w/o the BMS, voltage wise. I have seen voltage from 13.9 to 15 with the BMS. Disconnected it settles down to a steady 14.4-5 as seen here:

I watched the video and found it much better and to the point than that of the Ford Tech macalopoo , someone a ways back on here posted the Ford Tech's video on the bms and Ford's charging system and it was much too long and not exactly accurate in a number of areas. Such is the internet and youtube, there is little oversight.

So what is the verdict? Everyone is saying the BMS got chewed through, don't worry about it. OP, is this what happened? Are you going to attempt any repair?

Yes, this is what happened. No, not going to worry about it. BMS delete seems to be an accepted thing, and although I already have AS/S disabled via ForScan, if this also disables it, that doesn't matter to me.
