New to the truck scene. My dad has a 2009 ranger with 227k on it and it has seen a lot less trips to the mechanic than my old car and mom's SUV combined.

Figured I couldn't go wrong with a newer version either. Since they did bring them back after 2011. Love the truck, drives like a dream.

Year: 2023
Miles: 14700km
Package: Tremor

Nice to have a forum like this, already been super useful too.

Welcome Chris! Hopefully you're new Ranger treats you was well as your dads did him. There's a ton of info here and a bunch who'll help you answer questions and also spend your money. Hence the reason I edited your last sentence. ?

Oh, good choice on getting a damper! :captain: :like:

Nice truck, look into the ESP warranties from Granger, they offer them at like $50 over dealer price.

There's a few gremlins lurking in these and a little extra security is worth having just in case. It'll be among the cheaper things you spend money on if you hang around here long enough ?

I might have misunderstood what a damper is, is it the mod for your tail gate? For shock and what not?
It is a tailgate lowering-assist thingy that makes your manly-man arms (and womanly-woman arms) go all weak and rubbery and atrophied and small and spindly and tired all the time and....

Like me, Chris is in Canada - not sure a Granger ESP would be possible.
Dont listen to these damper guys. Same guys who need the purple pill and Nugenics…..???????
I hear Total T restores damper atrophy and if you buy a damper online, you mysteriously start receiving ads for Bluechew in your news feed.
