Truck hasn't been moved since it was parked in the lot on wednesday.
will be calling the service department tomorrow morning (calling the service advisors direct line gets no response) to ask why they needed the truck if they weren't going to touch it for 4 days, not counting sunday.
What's the point of an appointment if they aren't going to look at the truck?

grumblegrumble. that sucks.
the dealer where I bought mine was super grumpy when I called them about getting it in. started griping about being booked a month out. wtf? that's not helping anyone.

Going to pick my truck up from the dealer tomorrow - it will be 2 weeks with no contact from the dealer. (I have reached out twice via phone and left VM and twice via text messages)
today was the first day the vehicle was moved from the location they parked it day 1.
It was a test drive as far as I can tell, mileage went from 256 to 250 miles till empty in the app and it is parked in a different location.
I want to be patient and understanding, I recognize they are busy. But like I tell my daughter - how many times must I call you before I get upset? So, instead of being upset, I am going to just tell them I am there to pick my truck up.
Maybe I will stop by a GM dealer on the way home. laf.

Called the dealer this morning, not the service advisor the dealer main line, finally got through to someone who transferred me to the advisor. . . I wanted to give them ONE last chance to provide any type of decent CS . . .
he told me oh yeah, they test drove it and I am in line for the transmission mechanic to work on it. Ohh great, when do you think he will work on it? (I mean the TSB says less than an hour for test drive and reprogram) ohh only 6-8 days.
at which point I got a little testy - I said ok, well I will be by later today to get my truck because I need a vehicle. he stuttered well, that's not how we normally operate - I normally have a vehicle to get around in too... Expecting this to be an opening for him to say I understand come in and we can get you a loaner vehicle or some other good customer service reply . . . nope, he repeated how it would ONLY be another 6-8 days. . .
and I may have gotten a little more testy now, I said something along the lines of "not to be a dick, but I was told 3-5 days for someone to look at it, and you would contact me. It has been 2 weeks and I have reached out 4 times and you have not gotten back to me at all with any updates. I will be there to pick up my truck this afternoon, and you can call me when I am next in line and I will bring it in and wait."
Once I get the truck, I will give them 8 business days before I call the service manager followed directly by ford CS.
Again, in all my trips to Subaru dealers in the past I have never had such a BS experience.
Anyone want to buy a lightly used '23 Ranger XLT tremor, towing, tech, bed rack, exhaust, RCI skids, trailer brake controller. . . . low, low price of 72,500 - no low ball offers, I know what I got...

In other news, after I talked to the service advisor, they took the truck on another test drive - instead of 6 miles, this one was 14 miles . . . and they went fast enough that the tire pressure increased. LOL

I am not saying that is a suspicion but . . .
maybe they reprogrammed the transmission, TSB step 1 (ok, it isn't the first step the first step is check for codes and test drive it) and were reprogramming tables. . .
I am really leaning towards they went for lunch though . . . lol
I think the next time I drop it off I will wire in a GPS tracking device that will log into the dealerships wifi and transmit the data to me so I can see wtf they are doing with the truck . . .

Used to be the fordpass app would show your trips...unless I'm confusing that with something else, which is entirely possible.
