I know this a Ranger forum but the Maverick has been talked about. So sitting at a red light today along comes a Maverick in cross traffic with 2x4's hanging out the back, tailgate was propped at about 1/2 position. They were at least 8 footers. So some people actually use it as a truck.:thumbsup:

When I had my Ranger in the shop, the service department is at the ford truck dealer where they sell fleet vehicles. They had several new rangers and mavericks, all white. I got a good look at them (but they were locked so couldn't get inside).

They're OK. I'd consider getting one if they were different. A supercab mav with a 5 foot bed, and either real 4x4, or if you could get a PHEV AWD, then I'd give it a look. As it is, it just doesn't hit the mark for me.

I have both Ranger and Maverick. The Maverick is a great little truck with surprisingly great ability. It’s no slouch for its size. I prefer my Ranger but my wife loves the Maverick. Preference is key here.

I had a maverick and it was just fine for home improvement store runs. I hated the interior, it felt super cheap even on the lariat lux trim. I also suspect the mav will end up with more transmission problems than the ranger does.

If your wife is happy be thankful.

Towing is the downside due to unibody. If towing is not a high Priority I would give the hybrid a look for sure. Decent room and payload. Basic no frills and somewhat affordable.

I kinda almost was slightly curious and went out of town so nobody would see me test driving a Maverick (went out of STATE to test drive a Tacoma, in full disguise ? of course ) anyway , walked away when I found out you have to present your "Mancard" so they can cut it up if you buy , I know mancards aren't really a thing anymore , but that and my hair are all I got left , plus a somewhat manly Ranger (Carbonized Grey being THE most manly color I belive... )

That's similar to mine , mine is the WV version , so it is exempt from just "plain ole stupid " as long as it's manly stupid and starts with " hey y'all , watch this ! " (hold my beer is implied, but it's more impressive if you do it with beer in hand...)
Mine is the AZ version. Got it in 2011 in my men's group at church.
Prior version was very similar to yours as it was the Southern Virginia version ?

I don’t have a man card but will this work??

IMG_3009.jpeg
I have to add a side note here. I do not like this person that signed it. I have spoken out to her face to face. Her father was a well decorated veteran whom I respected greatly. When I received this at home my mother-in-law opened it thinking somehow I was a traitor… I got home from work and was approached with very apologetic attitude and terms saying “I will never open your mail again “. It was a bittersweet feeling, just leave my stuff alone!!! I have nothing to hide.. That was about 8 years ago and I’m still pissed…
