Putco tailgate emblem

Hey guys I have a 2019 ford ranger and got the putco tailgate light up emblem have it all set but I cannot for the life of me figure out wait wires to do the connections to.


I saw a couple of diagrams but I want to wire it up to be on when my taillights are on at night, not brake lights my ranger has the blindspot and all so I have loads of wires on the one plug with the emblem it came with I cannot remember the name of the wire crimps but it's kinda use once and done haha so I need to tap taillights for power and ground withe the billions of wires I'm lost hahaha thanks for your time and patience!

Tie it in to your license plate lights, they are on when your tail lights are on.

Ok so even though the wire Guage for them is way smaller there's no issue? Did you still use the red crimps they probided?

Looked at my trailer harness there's alot of wires just like my taillights so I'm clueless on what is what lol

Did you watch the install video? It seems very straightforward. Sure, they use an F150 but you should be able to get your Ranger set up using their procedure.

Sure did this has 3 wires I have like 10 lol all different colors and 2 or maybe 3 black lol

This looks cool - though I'd like to dim the emblem just a little bit. Have it come on with DRLs.
