Speak to the guys over at Dobinsons. Give them all the details and they will help you out.
Right on, thanks for your help!

Thanks for that input! I had OME leafsprings and they were the squeakiest things I have ever installed. Do you have any squeaks or anything of that sort?
I didn’t have squeaks with the OME but I kept them lubed up. I’ve since moved to the equivalent dobinson and they are better IMO. More leafs build quality seems better etc. You do need dobinson bushings and shackles though.
I have the IMS dobinson on my wife’s 4runner and they are nice. Unfortunately they won’t like the MRR for the American market Ranger I asked.

For my 2012 Frontier I am planning on going over to Dobinsons, though that might be a next year thing for reasons. I am still debating between the IMS and the MRA shocks. Both are available and I know both will be great.

Here is the problem with your poll: I don't know anyone who has run more than one set of suspension you listed, which means there is no way to compare them to each other, in real application. You can only get 'on paper' comparisons.

That being said, I have been looking at Fox, King, OME. Those seem to be the best (most popular) choices. I'd love to see the Dobinsons in action, but they don't have the remote resis, which.... if I am going up to the 2.5s, seems like something you should just do.

You make a good point. The only place I've ever seen this done is through these guys. They blindly compare all of the shocks on the market made for the tacoma, and the results are somewhat shocking HAHA

I’ll watch that, but my issue is…that’s for the Tacoma. I want Ranger specific information.

I see you are letting go of them, why are you selling?
I'm moving too far into rock crawling that goes beyond the Rangers abilities. So I sold my Ranger and got a Gladiator. Otherwise I definitely wouldn't be letting them go lol.

I want the same. It's the best I could find, hence making this thread!

that’s fair. And I completely understand. Suspension is difficult because you can really “try it out”. You have to commit. I’m 2 suspension in already, 2 shocks/struts and 2 leafs.

If you get a needle attachment for a grease gun, you can put grease between the leafs and then it won’t squeak. The grease lasts a long time too.
I tried that also during installation. I applied a lot of marine grease on each cushion and the one leaf without a cushion. I Might have to put more grease now. But. I think the extra cushion couldn’t hurt where it’s just metal on metal. Plus I already bought the F-150 cushions

OME springs are notorious for squeaking. It pays to keep the urethane bushes greased.

I will have to look more into them. Where should I buy? Stage 3? Also didn't know dobinsons had come out with ranger aftermarket products!
I've used OME suspension stuff before, it's top notch. Their shocks are made for them by Monroe in South Australia to their specifications. The springs are made by Kings Springs on the Gold Coast (again a high quality manufacturer) once again to OME's specification. I've never used Dobinson's stuff but they have a loyal group of followers over here, and I've never heard anything untoward so must be pretty good too. Another couple you might consider is Iron Man and TJM but I'm not sure their stuff is available in the US.

What grease would you recommend? That sounds like a good idea and something i should do rather than spraying fluid film on the shocks since that doesn't last very long.
