Running tally of VIN #, order date and build date by Ranger5G member (2019 MY)

Thanks @Pioneer74 I have seen the site of the sacred scrolls and there's like 20 lines info on my truck already. My PIN was issued on 8/28 but despite dealer claims of keeping me informed I had to ask for it. My build week was issued over a week ago. I have to remind myself that even as an A plan customer car dealers will be car dealers. They sold me on the order one route by fudging the delivery date to get me to bite. I even had a better trade in offer on my Fiesta ST to pick one up from a dealer 200 miles away but I didn't need the truck until mid October. Oh well there might be better rebates by Nov to ease the pain.

It's odd the the customer site doesn't tell you the build date or even estimate the delivery date based on it. It still says in order processing (waiting to be scheduled) when that's definitely not the case.

Question - in the above example, is the VIN assigned when the build week is assigned? Or when the actual date is assigned? I'm thinking it is when the build week is assigned.

VIN shows up with the build week in the system. When it's unscheduled, it just goes by the order number the dealer assigns it.

It’s been about a month since I ordered my 19, and despite attempts to telephone my dealer, I think the only answer they’re going to get me is if I drive into town and ask in person. I saw the production end date, so that’s all I really know.

I'm baffled. Wasn't expecting this until mid-October. Dealer advised me today that my truck is in Florida and should be at dealership sometime between today and NLT Thursday. I'm gonna remain cautiously optimistic, but if true.....

Trucks are not built in VIN numerical order and they skip some. I wouldn't read too much into that number.
