What did you receive in the mail today for your Ranger?

no damage honestly... just bean counters at work... plus metal is better/stronger for this part.

Is that your opinion or Fords reply to the question. I think test data should be approved by ford engineers on mods to the blow off points should warranty issues result longterm.

In honor of Soupie, my State's registration stickers are Race Red! =p

Also got an inch longer arm for the phone holder, It's still well below the hood line (no visual obstruction of the road) and it fully clears my tiny center screen, plus my fingertips reach the phone while hands are on the wheel (but not when spinning the suicide knob whipping around the dump - woohoo!). =D

And some cable management clips that will surely fall off (in addition to IPA, I also have some 3M Tape Primer 94 pens).

I can see myself possibly changing to the ball thing that bolts to a support under the vent ...

I keep a couple different size arms in my center console.

I find it annoying when the phone is on the longer arm and bounces on rough roads, but when it's in the short arm it gets hidden behind my hand on the steering wheel...

I'll post a couple pictures in a bit when I take the kid to school.

My mount is actually higher than yours, it sits on top of the climate control vent there. I can dig the link to the product if anyone wants it I've posted it before it's an Australian company I can't remember the name of. ?

I finally bit the bullet and bought t nuts from 80/20 that are the size I need for the yakima tracks. I've been using Amazon and knock off tnuts that are close to 40 series than the 45 series the yakima is close to...

These little sucker's aren't cheap, from anywhere that I could find. I figured I'd buy direct from 8020 to make sure they weren't knock offs...

That's the right hand drive version, but yes. ? They install with existing hardware and just use the ram mount or similar fixture.
MY only issue is that the metal is a little flimsy when you put a pixel 7 pro in a heavy case in a ram mount holder at the end of a ~4-6" connector thingie....and it compounds when you use the adapter to add 2 devices to the ram mount... ? If I still had my 3d printer I'd print a wedge back there to make it more stable...

That's a nice solution. Might be a good choice to put on the passengers side for her phone...

That's my mount with the ram mount for 2 devices. When I run it this way, I normally have my GPS up there too... Eventually that will go away and I'll have a Garmin inreach mini up there...

The only issue, I think, is that the stock one has a 17mm ball, but for $15 they have a 20mm ball (also have a 25mm).

My Off-Roam is 20mm .... and yours might be too.

I have this one and pulled it out. It vibrates just a little bit and its enough to make it hard to read. If I can't see the screen easily, then I don't need the phone up on the dash. I had it for offroad, so I could have Trails off road on my phone and GAIA on the screen. Didn't work.

My balls may not have the same hardness level as yours, but mine do have more elasticity and don't get damaged as easily...

Also, having Gaia on one and trails offroad on the other - is that to get the way points off rails offroad while driving? I wish importing to Gaia would import the way point information and images... Well, some are better than others... ?
