I have seen this mentioned on the news but didn't realize it may not be far off in California

Wondering what stops other states from implementing it once the vehicles are properly equipped? Probably a good thing for insurance companies but hackers will probably have fun with it. Big brother will soon have full control over vehicles we buy. What a mess it will be on highways with both old and new technologies mixed. I bet this takes road rage to a new level.
