Would love to see more of Nebraska. I was in South Dakota on business and made a short detour into Nebraska as I was heading from Sioux City to Deadwood. I wanted to check it off as a state I had visited. All I remember is a double-decker bridge with one level going north, the other south. I stopped at some random park and took my mountain bike out of the rental car and went for a short ride. I also had a checklist of places where I had mountain biked.

I was there maybe an hour and really didn’t see much. ☹
Not much here to see except cornfields! Prettiest part of the state IMHO is the sandhills! Beautiful country out there!

Replaced the hoses on my oil catch can to fuel rated ones, hopefully this'll stop my garage from smelling like fuel.

ran into bs troubles which I won't mention, and now my shoulder hurts.

I've had the socket style slip on some filters and have moved away from this style to the wing style below:

I still use the same one I bought in the mid 90s when I worked at a shop as the oil tech.

In fact, I just used it again today. Did the oil change, filter, swapped the washer on the drain plug as the one that was included with the toolless drain kit was weeping more than I liked, and drained the FP catch can.

Changed the oil in 12* wind chill, truck pulled halfway into an unheated garage to work on it, and my left knee is 8 weeks old.
That which does not kill me makes me stronger.
Valvoline Advanced Synthetic 5w-30, Motorcraft filter.
I use the same filter wrench in the post above.
A while ago I replaced the plastic screws on the flap with magnets. Makes the job go much faster.

Birthday oil change done today. My birthday so I celebrated by trying Pennzoil Ultra! Also had garage install black lug nuts. I had black center caps but despite Levittown Ford Parts saying it would fit, they do not.
I’ll make something with them. ?

Happy birthday!
Today. For my third and final attempt, I tried installing a set of running boards from a popular online store.
Backstory: First set was made wrong . The middle bracket on the boards were off 2-3ā€. I got a set of RB20s as a replacement. They arrived but brackets were wrong, they fit the truck but were the RB10/20 brackets I think and too wide.
So, today the ā€œcorrectā€ brackets arrived. Mostly. They sent correct front L and R brackets but 4 L side brackets for the middle and rear and last but not least, completely left out the ā€œu channelā€ brackets that hold the boards to the rocker brackets! I get to go to FedEx for a third time. Go Rhino. The AT&T of the truck accessory world in my experience. YMMV. End of rant ?

Took a test drive to check for any issues with my less than professional install of new lines for my catch can.

Engine kind of bogged down, took a bit to hit 110mph
Did another WOT pull, accelerated normally but sounded weird.
Burning Oil/Rubber smell form turbo charger area.

No leaks though, so not sure what's going on. Anyone have an exploded view of the turbo charger handy so I can located the oil feed lines? My shoulder is still messed up, rather not go hunting for them right now.

Did you use that for the new knee or the truck? :surprised:
Truck. Knees get Euflexxa, well, just one now until it gets done in a few months. My doctor calls that an oil change too. ?

Yep, TN winter will be this week. Several days with single digit lows and Nashville looking at below zero temps. I thought I lived far enough south to avoid this crap. ?. Also expecting a little snow. Going to change the oil in the whole house generator and run it a while to make sure battery fully charged. Last time it got this cold we had rolling power outages. Not going without heat!
