Made a thing to do a thing and kinda got carried away. The while I’m here might as well got me.

You too have an empty wire harness loom clip, I thought mine was empty cause mines 2WD and that was reserved for transfer-case related stuff.

Now I'm more curious.

edit- to specify:

Probably px2 leftovers

I dont want to derail the thread into another tire thing - but did one of the sizes fit easier like no rubbing when flexing, not having to switch rims to after market?
With eibach at 3.0 height and 1.5 spacer if memory serves me right I ran those on sport tires had minor rubbing switched to different wheel with a -17 offset removed spacer had about the same amount of rub as spacers.

Oh, I get the "nod" for Soupie when we roll up! =D

Not too many Race Red scabs who often have their mighty Cheech in tow. Let alone Soupie's distinctive, and oh so classy chain smile!

doubles as an engine step & curb feeler

I feel with the amount of stupid out and about lately you’re asking to unintentionally be stuck like two dogs by someone unaware. lol

You are correct on them being pricey. I received them on Friday, and had placed the order for them on Black Friday. The sale they were running pretty much helped with shipping, which is expensive seeing as how heavy the main box is(three boxes in total. One large box for the sliders, one small box with nuts, bolts, and backplates, and another long but slimmer box for the top plates I optioned for).

Are these overkill for the type of off-roading I do? Probably. Though I also look at not wanting to be limited at what I can do with the truck if I just have regular step bars. If I never come crashing down on them so be it. Though if I do come down hard and protect the doors/body from possibly taking on bad damage, then I see it as a smart investment.
Absolutely, and as long as you’re happy with your purchase that’s what matters.
That stands to reason that there is extra cost involved due to what they are capable of.
Plus like I said earlier they look great on your Ranger.

Installed engine cover! Used a bit to much anti seize on threads.
Pennzoil and castrol stickers shown to show I have freed myself from the Amsoil cult. ?
All in good fun but it’s seriously Pennzoil or Castrol only from now on.

Looks good, did you have a bad experience with Amsoil? Or are you just switching?

During the nascar playoffs I said to myself “If Ryan Blaney wins the title, I am switching to Pennzoil”
Sure enough! ?
Castrol is the backup because it makes most sense in my mind.
