Ford Performance diff cover

No drain plug? Has anyone been able to drill and tap for a drain plug? Guessing there should be no warranty issues if I install it. Cast iron should be easy to drill and tap…but is there room between the fins? Im only looking at pictures…

Pretty sure it's underneath the Ford Performance label and pointing straight up.
Summit Racing's description says it has a drain plug.

There are two fill plugs, normally you will use the lower one. The upper one is for use if your truck is lifted and the axle is rotated upward.

There's no drain plug

If you are one of the unlucky ones with no diff drain on the axle housing then you will have to pull the cover off to drain it or use a suction tool to suck out the fluid.

Mine is a 2019 and has it. Googling Ranger diffs by year, suggests 2022 and beyond are missing it.

There seems to be 2 of these Ford Performance covers:
m-4033-R for Rangers
m-4033-BR for Broncos (the pic SHOWS a drain plug!)

Whats the difference? I thought the axels were the same?

As long as you have the Dana M220 it should fit. The M220 is on all the 4x4 Trucks. I don't know if the 2WD trucks have them

Looked on Levittown website its says the M-4033-BR (with drain plug) as NOT fitting Ranger…only Bronco….

Hope Benny from Levittown can answer WHY the M-4033-BR won’t fit Ranger.
It DOES have a drain plug!

Exactly...the drain/fill plugs are in front of the diff...not the cover...
