HA! Write her a ticket? Hell no he didn't! LE is almost non-existent down here. It's the damn wild west! I'm just happy he was professional acting.

You know how you are supposed to determine fault in a non-private property accident up there in GA? Down here, they DON'T have to determine fault in ANY collision!
On rare occasion I couldn't figure out fault I had a handful of troopers on dial to find out who was. haha

Looks like a failed suicide attempt..

Hopefully this is that proverbial eye opening moment for the honda and it'll now get the help it needs ? life is precious, regardless of what country it hails from.

^^ big emphasis on those last ten words though..

Let's hope 2024 brings a bit more peace, love, and happiness to this earth.

Big apologies for writing such a serious post.. very much unlike me.. I know.

I assure everyone that I AM feeling alright, and no.. I havnt started doing drugs.. just a rare serious moment lol.

Never apologize for that message @Blmpkn - I think all strong men need to recognize we need to be good to one another and be living examples of strength through kindness.

It's hard to do... extremely hard sometimes... but I believe the world would be a lot better place and people would be much happier If "we" would stop "thinking" using EMOTION... and instead.. let LOGIC and reason power said thoughts and actions.

Emotion, lots of times, is completely devoid of logic. The most powerful example of what im trying to get at here.. I think.. would be to bring up every single campaign of genocide this earth has been unfortunate enough to witness. These terrible events were/are spurred on by EMOTION.. and emotion alone. Hatred, fear.. perhaps jealousy? Religious beliefs too.. but I won't dive down that hole right now..

It could be suggested.. I suppose.. that logic and reason were the deciding factor for such events.. but anyone who's brain TRULY fires on all cylinders would realize they've all been committed due to.... emotion. The way I see it.. logic and reason NEED to be backed up by either science or math to be considered as such.

I used to be incredibly angsty, judgemental, and egotistical about how I lived my life compared to the lives/choices of others.. but the idea behind the last bit of my last quasi-paragraph helped me an incredible amount.

>>Unless something can be proven using mathematical or scientific rule... it's not a fact.. its subjective... It's opinion..

..and opinions are inherently wrong<<.

Live and let live.

My sister has lived a bit north of Tampa for several years now. And of course, my parents are now buying a house a bit north of that. I absolutely HATE driving in FL, and it's getting harder and harder to avoid it. My parents will DEFINITELY live too far away from any airports to make getting an uber an affordable option.

That said, I do live in a tourist town popular with Floridians in the summertime escaping the heat, and we get the exact same horrible driving. We get the NYers and NJers more in the wintertime and they bring a different kind of special with them. And everybody wants to move here, so some of them stick around and bring the bad driving permanently.

Amazingly, when I took my road trip up the east coast to New Brunswick in late summer, people were driving VERY calm and predictably as I got through the NYC area and up into New England.
My NC home is in a popular tourist destination, too, and we get all kinds of stupid drivers up here. Generally speaking, if there's a huge traffic jam or incident around us (we're in the mountains), it's an even-money bet that there's a Florida plate at the onset of the problem. Actually, to be fair, in the past decade or so they've gotten to be much better about driving in the mountains; before that, they were generally known as "Flor-idiots".

Ughhhhhhh. Just a mere two weeks after a road-rager struck my wife's new Bronco Sport on purpose, a young lady drove her Honda into my Ranger while I was on a quick work errand. I estimate $3500 to $5000 in damages to her car, while I'd say I got off pretty damn lucky.

On the downside, I feel a little bad. At the moment of impact, I looked over and saw her, and started screaming obscenities at her. I've been down here in South Florida for two years now and have been involved in three not-at-fault collisions (this being the third incident). I've had it with the shitty drivers down here. They will literally make eye contact with you, and then steer into you because they want to occupy your lane. There is just an unnatural level of selfishness on the roads here, and people are all too willing to risk other people's safety to do stupid crap like turn left from the farthest right lane, across 3 lanes of traffic, to make their turn. (Moments before the collision, I saw some guy do just that, running a red light across 8 lanes collectively.) So, I had enough and started yelling at this young lady.

It turns out, she was pretty cool, calm, and collected about it. She told me that she thought I could see she was trying to get over. She kept a nervous smile on her face and was polite during our whole interaction. She was nice enough that I actually apologized to her for yelling at her and commended her on keeping her cool and not letting anything escalate.

But there is no doubt, though, that she was at fault. And I got off pretty damn lucky.

Looks like a good advertisement for ARB & Black Rhino…. Having said that, how do you like your front bumper and wheels? I’m about to purchase a Tremor and my research steers me to ARB and Black Rhino.

You're right on on this being a good advertisement for both! I'd go with both of these again in a heartbeat without reservation.

hmmmm. sounds like your NC home is eerily close to mine.
