I didn't find it concerning, if you want a tighter fit you could always wrap a little electrical tape around the elephant snout before slipping it into the air box ??‍♂

Or use some flat weather stripping or something. I don't think it's excessive it's marginally looser than factory and even if engine bay air, dust, whatever got sucked in it still has to go up through the filter to get to the intake

I have one of these. My only complaint is that the plastic split at one of the bolt holes after about a year. Doesn't really effect anything, but its annoying regardless

I have one, I like it. I feel like I did tests with it for my IAT and it had a few degrees cooler, but I really don't remember these days. Prob somewhere deep in my comments. Cool little upgrade for not too much. However, the only complaint is if you have the raptor light bar in the front, it becomes a rather tough fit and I believe the metal from the light bar blocks its slightly. But I do think I installed my raptor light bar incorrectly and jerry rigged it to fit where I wanted so take what I say with a grain of salt.

It is thin at the bolt holes, might do well to drop a washer underneath as well as the washer and bolt on top

Has it improved the performance or MPG of your truck?

I'll bet both have significantly improved as there is less weight (however much a few paper bills weigh) to carry around and propel....less weight = better mpg and better acceleration.

Hard to say, I don't think it did much on its own, but paired with the velossatech scoop, my cruising mpgs seem to be 1 or 2 better cruising around 70-75

Good luck with that. There is some much oil residue on this thing there is nothing sticking to it. Might have to give it an acid bath first...

My gas mileage dropped at first Lol to 18 from 23 I called and they said coming after installing a performance mod people get led foot disease! So now I’m back in the 20’s again. Enjoy! It’s red not pink as my camera is off.
