It's been covered elsewhere on the forum but I pre-ordered the AfE Magnum before it was available on the premise that Ford restricted the opening on the factory part (?) and it was an inexpensive mod that should have benefitted breathing.
I got it after I installed one of the first Velossatech Big Mouths and didn't note any additional benefits. I run a tune in my truck so my experience may not be fair to AfE.
I will say that after filling the molded one piece AfE horn with water to figure out the volume it is in fact a 'magnum' of capacity. I could never quite figure out the factory parts capacity because it's a two piece part that leaked like a seive - but clearly significantly less.
I don't know how much velocity plays into all this but where the horn goes into the airbox is one of the smaller junctions in the intake system - and I replaced my intercooler charge pipes because of obvious restrictions in the stock parts.
By itself the Magnum Ram accessory seems better than the Ford part in design and basic manufacture. I went with basic black because I didn't want my engine compartment to look like a ball crawl.
