They told me there was housing contact and that it was within the realm of possibility to clearance. Maybe a little grinding would have done it but judgment call was to hold for M210. I wish I had more for you but that’s all I know.
No problem. Thanks for your input.

Been thinking about doing this, but not really sure I would benefit. My co worker has a Bronco Sasquatch we're going to upgrade the front axle and regear the rear, so I have the main parts available. I'm running 34's now, and yes the power is down a bit, but nothing undrivable by any means. I also have the Ford Power Programer and a Pedal Commander, so she doesn't feel sluggish. I'm still getting 22 mpg on the highway, so can't complain. Tire set #4 is coming up soon, and will this help decide the fate. Up to 35's, stay the same or back to 33's. ?

If you go to 33's the I would leave it be. If you stay with 34's or go to 35's then it would be worth changing. Honestly I found 33's to be the limit on factory gearing for the Ranger.

Gearing offers so many advantages, more than just on road driving. If you wheel, I would highly recommend it as your crawl gets slower, which means you have more control over obstacles. The truck will feel more stock like for acceleration and it will make everything have to work less hard to get moving. If you have the option to get the parts, I would do it. This is high on my list of wants, but I can't convince the old lady to approve it.

I know what gearing does... I have a SAS'd Explorer on 37's with 5.13's and a 0BS Bronco with 4.56's and use to also have a Super Duty with 4.88's. So we'll versed in gear swaps and what they offer.

It's more about swapping the axle for me. I have plenty of other projects I should finish before this. ?

This is on my short list. Most likely mid to late next year though

That’s awesome! Now fit some 37s on that baby!

37's don't really make good for a tow rig, unless 3/4 ton + ?

This is my daily, I have other toys that work much for off road, I don't really care if I roll, or put dents in those.

Quick update after a couple more days of driving in a variety of conditions.

- In drive (D) the tendency for the tranny to pull a couple gears too high (lugging) and the lag to downshift is still irritating. Drive remains useless except at highway speeds.

- In sport mode (S) the shifting and overall performance of the truck is pretty great. Really no complaints.

- Acceleration from a dead stop and low-speed roll on is markedly improved and addictive

-The novelty of new found acceleration is crushing any hopes of fuel economy improvement.

Other than that, the truck feels and performs better than stock despite running very big and very heavy tires.

Did you just recently purchase this truck? There was one on a for sale site that looked identical. Looks great BTW!

I’m the original owner of this truck but APG has been doing this conversion for a few years so there are others around.
