I'd like to find some LED lamps that aren't so bright my truck looks like a fishing boat on Deadliest Catch.

Yeah, Panda are great, they are working hard to fill in some of the gaps in the Ranger experience. I'm waiting to hear back from them before I make a final decision.

we are working as fast as we can out engineer is part-time and had a day job makes it a little harder but they will be coming.

It can definitely be hard when you have a lot of irons in the fire!

The end result for me is that after the very long conversation with Diode Dynamics, where we decided that the Ranger just isn't the best fitment for their current products, I went with another mid-tier brand that ended up installing pretty easily. They work reasonably well, with a reasonable beam pattern and a decent cutoff for the low beams.

For the low beams, the original dust covers still don't fit, so instead of trying to mod them with a dremel tool, I have gone with these for now:

I'll keep an eye open for newer models from Diode Dynamics, and possibly upgrade when they have something that is a good fitment.

With our last stocking order, Diode Dynamics dropped off a large stack of stickers. So with every purchase of Diode products you will receive a free sticker!

Any new developments around the dust cover that will fit this bulb? Also, how's the high beam coming along?

We just got a 3D printer, so we will have to work through the R&D process a bit before we bring it to market. We will reach out to DD on the high beams.

I haven't gone thru anything too gnarly yet and haven't have any issues yet without, but keeping a close watch...
I replaced my wife's 2011 Explorer lamp bulbs which never goes off road and I cringed at the amount of grime all over the back of the lamp and cap...the sooner I get this covered up the better...:puke:

Or..... you might try led bulbs that fit within the OEM dust covers. Auxitos. Super bright and clear. $39.99 No fitment issues what so ever. Fit like a glove.

I'm concerned about the fan not having external cooling air...any issues with yours? Do you have a link?

I've had that concern too. So far I've opted for allowing some outside air in but manufacturers claim you don't need to.
