I feel your pain. Luckily I have not had a rent, mortgage, or car payment since 2016. I took a lot of heat from some of my family members for spending as much time contracting out in the desert as I did. but doing that set me up for retirement big time ...

I don't have to worry about this one seeing as I don't chew gum. ? Peanut butter works but then you'll have another mess on your hands. lol

I'm afraid to see what's under my seats! I still haven't had a chance to clean/vacuum mine since we got back. It's been 108 and to hot to deal with it.

Ha! You don’t have to chew gum yourself to get it in your seat belt. The best part is it was spread over the belt with the fastening (correct word?) and that one also needed cleaning.

Don’t worry, any kind of life under your seats is finished due to heat. ?Just vacuum them up when temps get back to normal and you’re fine.

Haven’t washed my truck since 22th June when I waxed her. One week after that we had dry summer weather and now raining every day. Today I added some gravel roads as “oh, here’s abandoned manor, look, abandoned soviet farm bla bla bla” and kilometers in dirt came.
I’ll wash her when weather gets dry. She’s so waxed and even windshield got a good layer to let me drive most of time in rain without using wipes.
My poor thing needs vacuuming too. And after today’s load delivery the bed needs to be cleaned again as well.
It’s a truck, let it be for a while

The truck is new, I guess I need to change and adapt as well.
Maybe this is time to change the headline for a “I guess I don’t care so much if my truck needs a wash” headline?
I didn’t want Raptor to be black or white. I do really love black, but I understood I wasn’t ready to sign another part time unpaid job contract for next who knows how long period again. 5 minutes perfect looking truck and not more after every bath was all I got and my OCD was killing me.
So I decided I didn’t care about color, just excluded black and white.
Code orange it came. Well, ok. Curiosity. When I first saw her hidden and between other vehicles it seemed different. Kind of red and colorful but nothing screaming. Seemed safe.
When I finally picked her up and started to realize that thing is huge and orange, HUGE and ORANGE, I understood my shy life is over. Over! So not used to it. Black seemed optically smaller and most of vehicles are grey or dark.

ASAP I waxed her and after that she has had no washes. Close look is dirty, roads have been wet.
It’s a Ford Raptor, it’s wrong to ask it to be nice and shiny outside all the time. If I wash her, she’ll shine even further.
So it’s double layer paint protection - under there is wax and on the top it’s pure dirt.

Actually I am looking for a snow brush now. Last one I got did its job really well and removed snow and ice as well, but actually wasn’t good for paint surface.
First I was thinking I’m not planning to remove snow from my truck this year to keep the paint but I guess that ain’t going to work

Windshield is also covered with glass wax, so I don’t use wipers while driving with higher speeds. Saving glass and wipers life.

Think of the positives. In a total white out you will still be able to spot your truck...until it is covered in snow.
