Congratulations! So how many transmissions, turbos, drive shafts and cylinder blocks have you had to replace? ?Just broke the 100k mile club today. Just shy of four years. I’m having an extra beer tonight to celebrate
i hate to even ask but whats the rear passenger axle thing???Definitely drive the hell out of my ranger. Unfortunately not trouble free I’ll list below:
upgrades:
- aftermarket engine cover
- NGK spark plugs
- Turbosmart BOV
- Oil catch can
- bully dog 91 tune
cosmetic upgrades:
- “FORD” grill from Ford themselves. Says ranger on top too
- Rear diff cover
- side step rails
- Light bar
- LED lights on top
- weather tech bug deflector
- weather tech rain guards on windows
- one size bigger tires
- weather tech floor mats
issues:
- water in spark plugs. Hence why I bought the cover and such
- transmission issues (fixed with help of Ford and a good tranny flush)
- back passenger axle basically disintegrated, completely replaced
- lots of rear wheel speed sensors due to axle
- infotainment center is constantly needing to be restarted due to freezes.
- gas tank float failed (don’t need it fixed until inspection/smog after year 8)
all problems aside, I’ve got my danger ranger basically perfect at this point. I expect my turbo and tranny to eventually fail but hey if I can get up to 100k I can’t be mad. In fact, I’m going to go drive it another 120 miles for work right now haha
I took it to mean the passenger side axle shaft.i hate to even ask but whats the rear passenger axle thing???
im asking as mine feels like that spot on mine feels like warped rotor after i get the brakes warm. im hoping its the rotor and nothing more...
My mom just turned 100 does that countWelcome centenarian...
The rear axle shaft started to break apart. They think it started with the rear wheel speed sensor and the baring it uses to read the speed. If your truck is eating the speed sensors, have ford look at the axle. Might save the $1000 repair billi hate to even ask but whats the rear passenger axle thing???

thank you! so far no issue with speed sensors for me.The rear axle shaft started to break apart. They think it started with the rear wheel speed sensor and the baring it uses to read the speed. If your truck is eating the speed sensors, have ford look at the axle. Might save the $1000 repair bill
