Got back from work today pulled into the office parking lot and the boss had this parked waiting for me!!...2023 F150...only has 200km's (124 miles) on it!...that's how far the dealer was!!?

Naw you need a crummie, that’s old school terminology for a heavy duty crew cab with an 8 foot bed. Dodge was famous for them with the original hemi. Been there done that, the toughest work for anyone, period!! Try being a green hand running up and down mountains, pulling and setting chockers for the yarders hoping one doesn’t slip, if it did you get your ass kicked big time. I’ve had many corkers and shredded pants. I finally drove skidders another story and set of problems..
We worked hard and played hard!! No regrets..

.....we don't work the logging side (although I have....was a faller and worked on towers) I now work on the other side...we develope the logging blocks and roads for the mills!

Way cool, the towers is what we referred to as “yarders” ? Driving the skidders I would curse the fallers.. I do however understand the reasoning of fallers but still, dang it!! ? I just wish those roads were wider in my time circa 1990..

I ended up cutting cedar butts at the pole manufacturer that they couldn’t use and sell it to the shingle mill. Nice 16 inch length split bolts, hand split. Still rough work. I’ll tell you it sure takes it’s toll on your body in later years..
