Hello all,

I'm sold on the Ranger, the only issue is that's it's significantly over my budget. I'm trying to get the best price I can on a new Ranger. My ideas are to

A. Wait for the 2020s to come and get a great deal on a 2019 leftover. Although my local incentives are about 2,500 I'm curious if they'll improve this winter to make room.

B. Wait a little longer until there's a used market. I already see a couple on Autotrader

C. Just take the 2k incentives offered now

Would love to hear your thoughts

Thanks!

Are you just trying to find the cheapest one or what trim level options are you looking for?

I definitely want a 4x4 crew cab. Other than that, I'm looking for the cheapest available. If the difference in price was only a 1000 or so I'd go xlt but otherwise, I'd be fine with an xl or stx.

A base XL 4x4 SuperCrew with no options is $32,005. With X Plan it's $31,337.

I also see a 0% APR offer for your zip code, as well as $1,00 cash incentives and $2,000 trade-in cash.

Edit: Lariat only

Yes, there are fantastic incentives right now. That's why if i'm unsure if it will be worth waiting for a leftover or used market

Sorry that's for a Lariat only. But ask your dealer if there are other incentives.

I just got mine (XLT, 4x4 crew cab) outfitted like I want with all the goodies less the Leather and FX4 package for $39,000 OTD. In WA that includes 10% sales tax. Stickered for $42,210 + ($41110 + $1100) their "accessories" already installed. A little over $6K off when all said and done. Did not want to wait for the dwindling supply and a blue one to show up when I needed a new truck right away. Lovin the push button mirrors, big 8 inch NAV and I COULD use some more storage space coming from a Full size truck. - Locking cargo bed cover here I come - LOL

If they're giving $5,000 off new ones then used ones can be worth $3000-5,000 even less than that...I'd look for a used 2019 to save the most

Yes! Hopefully I'll see a used stx 4x4 crew sooner than later!

Just bought a "used" (with 412 miles) XLT, 4X4, Crew Cab, Tow package, Silver paint, 8" sync-screen (nav system), power seats, carpet etc, the deep foot liners, co-pilot 360 with the lane assist, adaptive cruise, bed liner, 17" black spoke alloy rims, running boards, perimeter alarm system, but it was from a Honda Dealer, so there was no sticker.

Haven't been able to pull up the MSRP from the vin yet. Clean report on recalls, accidents, etc.

They said the guy who bought it was diagnosed with dementia after he paid for it & lost his license (sales BS, just don't know?). Out the door price was $34,991 so I'm curious what people think about this deal. Was it OK based on the miles & options?

Did you try and look it up here? http://vin.maniacs.info/FordSticker.html

Edit: I did some googling and it only looks like that will work if the vehicle is listed for sale in the Ford database. You can purchase one for $25 from Ford:

http://www.fordshowparts.com/store.cfm?dept_id=1157

However this posting:

https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/5th-gen-2019-ranger-vin-decoded.1590/

Should allow you to figure out at least some of the options on the truck.

That sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

I got my super cab XL 4x4 for $30k out the door. Slapped some $500 wheels on and it looks like the fancy ones.

Not sure about the link. It doesn't give the window msrp info, just a circular link to myself without the sticker. Must be doing it wrong.

Wait for end of the Month deals to find a better price. Labor Day sales are coming up, most large dealers will have great deals. I can't complain for my deal, end of the Month July 4th sale.

YOU got a fabulous deal. - I have the exact color Sport and Packages but with the 18 inch $895 wheel upgrade and the added $700 dealer mud flaps and floor mats + 3 years free maintenance - I got mine for 39K OTD or $35K ish + T/L. a few days ago. Wish I had gotten a blue one but this deal was too good not to take from what I had to pick from. I had driven all the midsized and was on my way to pick up a new Honda Ridgeline but was overwhelmed with both the fun factor and safety features of the Ranger!!
