Installing a truxedo lo pro. Do you think I should also seal up the holes pictured and where the bulkhead seal and bed meet maybe put another seal of some sort?

I have a Lo Pro on mine....good cover.
Holes....your choice, no real need to cap them off as no water intrudes on mine.

I'd do the install as they instruct.

If you find it gets too wet, then you could deal with those two holes later.

The bulkhead seal should work fine as is.

The bed isn't a trunk and unless you go full on waterproofing, it needs to breathe and let any water that does get in a chance to dry.

I installed my Back Revolver with the supplied seal and it's been as dry as I expected. Never more than a few spoonfuls of water.

Good luck with it and maybe someone with that exact same cover has better advice, but it should do a good job keeping stuff from getting soaked - your tonneau is highly reputable and a great choice.

Good luck with the install!=)

It's pretty difficult for water to enter through those holes. And honestly, sealing your bed too much can lead to issues like trapping water and moisture.

Even if I blast water between the bed/cab water doesn't enter those holes.

Anyway, The bulkhead seal will do the job just fine.

This FTW!

You can't get better insight than Grumpaw's experience.

Be advised though, if you drive on any dirt/gravel roads, it will be nearly impossible to keep dust/dirt out of the bed. There's several threads about it, and I started one so check it out. A few people have gotten some home brew solutions that sort of work, but in general the spaces around the tailgate are a sieve and nearly impossible to close up.

Not impossible be any means.
Just a matter of how unsightly of seals you're willing to use...

Shove some of these into the gaps then close the gate.

Also, a little heads up.....
When you attempt to attach the tonneau rails to the bed sides, you will probably notice that the last 6 inches of the rail at the rear kind of sticks up 1/4-1/2 inch. Nothing wrong with the tonneau rails....the Rangers top rail has a very slight arch to it...almost un-noticeable until you place a straight edge along the top. Some are a bit more pronounced that others but I believe all have the arch.
So, when you start at the front, flush, as you move toward the back, the tonneau rail might stick up a bit.
You would think that by now the tonneau manufacturers would/could put a slight arch in their rails, but alas, they do not.

I can tell you just straight up got sick of spelling "Tonneau."
I will, forever from now, call it "A manual roll up, very flexible, vinyl or canvas bed covering":giggle:
Or, "The roll-up flappy thing that covers the bed"

For me it's "The thing to pile my bags of groceries onto as I offload them"

I have the Lo-Pro and it came with some black sticky stuff to plug those holes so I did. Only water I get is a bit around the tail gate.

This is important and frustrated me until I figured this out. The Lo-pro cover will not latch well unless the tonneau rail sticks up about a half inch above the bed rail at the tail gate - especially on the side that has the latch.

And after you latch it check and make sure so it is latched so it doesn't blow open (sink into the bed).

Mine sounds like the report from a .22 when it latches, so I’m usually sure. :like:
