I'm wondering about the amount to add if the fluid is...say...one mark lower than optimal?
Oh that's easy.... just a pinch, or a splash, or just a tad bit, even a skosh more will do.

Besides, Ford engineered it so anything between 4-5 is fine, there is no optimal.

The best part is you wont have to worry about it with new dipstick, it just has the 4-5 with the diamond in between, no fine little marks to lament over, just set the level between the 4-5 and you are good.

Thanks, it's been interesting, the two biggest and most important challenges were shaping it to stay off the firewall and the pre-marking of the stick, I finally got it though.

I had to redo the fixture several times to get it right and yesterday I installed the stick over 10 times checking it against the factory stick, dialing in the marking height on the new stick, I had to machine an additional .125" off the fitting to move the markings where I wanted them on the stick, it's exact now.

I use these for putting fluids in small holes. Amazon sells all sizes of them.

Figured I'd show the fixture, hose is shaped and the length is verified.

I'm not happy with the stamp on the handle, I'm having the stamp co send a different stamp and ink.
