Yes I did read that, and was wondering how there could be power 100% of the time when a switch was turned off.
Mine has power 100% of the time going to the switch lol...but no light until I flip it...perhaps that's what he meant...

The circuit is powered 100% of the time, meaning the B+ is hard wired, and each light has a switch at the light.

THIS! who wants to have the ignition on or truck running just to have the under hood lights working?

I guess that's what he meant, but it wasn't clear to me, so I asked. When you say there's power 100% of the time, it suggests (to me) that there are some scenarios in which there is NOT power 100% of the time to the switches. So how could that be?

It's kinda sketchy way to describe electricals...like most of my wiring....?

Yes...in my case, I have the switch on the fan shroud panel (red lit switch) and always hot...meaning wired directly from battery so no need to f-around with the key...they're low draw led boat trailer lights...

Here are the one's I installed, powered 100% of the time and fused and switched individually. They are panel LED's and very bright, work great.
PS Note engine cover :)

Engine Cover? Jesse, that entire engine bay is something to behold! Spotless - Dave would be so proud! ?

The only thing cleaner is the underside of @viperwolf ’s Everest. ?

Great ideas. I'm thinking about using a Mercury switch that turns lights on when hood is lifted. I don't really want to use my vintage NOS Ford accessory underhood/trunk light that works this way.

I'd like to see it when you get it done.

I'm also looking for a yellow rubber doughnut to put around the dipstick tube. It's difficult to see the tube with dipstick removed in low light. (Please... no "finding a hole in the dark" jokes).
