As the title says, looking for the experts to help educate me on the difference between the two if there is any.

YEAH YEAH YEAH, I know I can GOOGLE so spare yourself the energy typing that comment.

Also not here to debate the merits or need so apologies in advance about being a Kill Joy.

Yes, I did install the FP-OAS, after getting the correct upper hose, for the same reason I went with the FP Tune.

It's the same thing. A "catch can" just separates oil from the air that is venting from the crank case before it gets recycled back into the intake or vented to atmosphere.

Most of the time it's the same thing with a different name, but with the Ford version I don't think it has the typical spin off can so most won't call it by the second name. Especially with anything connected to the intake. On a car I ran nitrous on a simple fuel filter from a big lawnmower actually worked pretty good at stopping oil but it clogged too fast and I finally added a can I could dump
.....

The term catch can probably started with NHRA rules about having cans to catch various fluids at different trap speeds or mph to keep the track safe if your car burped up something, coolant for sure - the overflow has to be big enough or if you don't have one need a "catch can". However those have nothing to do with oil going into the intake because EPA.

Yep - same thing.

In industrial applications, you will see the term Oil/Air seperator. As a matter of fact, I have seen DIY projects with using cheap a++ oil separators used for vehicles (catch can).

otherwise they are the same basic part. Good to note that different manufacturers have different approaches to this and they produce different results.
