Remote Transmission Dip Stick Aftermarket Support?

Thanks everyone, it was a nervous moment opening the box, I rolled the dice on not spending $500 for first samples, it worked out.

That's the beauty of printed parts, the printed plastic parts fit perfectly, so I figured the aluminum ones made from the same file should be the same, I also figured if they were off a little, I could just rework them by hand maybe.

I will hopefully make quick progress on this, the last step with the hose shop, I hope they are not backlogged and can knock them out next week.

Please do not go by that list as far a specific order goes, it is not correct, for some reason the names are in random order.

Thanks again everyone, without you guys, I would have never gone down this road, I would have made one or two, just plain aluminum and marked the stick with a engraver (like I did on my old F150) the fact that I had potential customers before I ever made a single part really helped, it also helped me through the problems where I considered quitting, it was one stupid problem after another that required more money, in fact not a single step went smoothly, the stencil company was so insanely difficult, sourcing enough sticks and exactly 27.6mm dowty washers, (I have 50+ unusable ones) and bottom fittings and so on with everything needed, even the first load of custom boxes were damaged.

I shouldn't complain, it's been a learning experience and I plan on other niche products, so this has been a great exercise in business education, the design, production and tooling requirements, even packaging, just everything.

So good job you guys, you propelled me up and onward, got me past the thinking stage and into the production stage!!

Oh, by the way, I tried to be a smart a$$ and failed, nobody noticed my T shirt in that one pic?

Or maybe that the post was so long ago nobody even remembers, for me it's like burned in my brain, it did help serve as motivation.

I already had the cutter and the heat press and a new shirt, so I whipped up a shirt, I really wasn't asking if the print on the stick was dark enough, so the joke was on me

Your asking a tough question, I was unaware that you could see the list of names on the voting, all of the sudden people were lining up based on that, then it was found to be in random order, so it's not usable by sequence, just for people who have interest.

I have a small list of people that have helped me, both local to me and here on the forum, after that I'm not sure how to handle it, probably put them up here and have members PM me, I'm not sure yet.

I have no idea how to handle the voting list, it would be weird to tell someone "you cant buy it, you're not on the list" but at the same time, I think the people who did vote have some kind of priority, they were some of the motivation for all this.

I do know that next week, if all goes well, I will order more parts and the wait time will be fairly short for more sticks.

Actually, I had to figure out what to do with a shirt with a hole in it, it was new but you can see a hole in the front below the text, that's when I thought I would be funny and quote you on a shirt, nobody got it though, even you.... failed humor

I am in no matter what order they are sold in. I think this is the best modification/upgrade for a Ranger that I have seen so far.

as far as selling order i say sell to those who helped first like you said. after that get a list over a few days of people who are in. then do a drawing on randomizer . if you have 20 parts then the first 20 are the people who buy. just an idea. i know im in line waiting.

So, long before I knew about the names associated with the voter list......

That's how I thought would be the best way to go about a list, so that's what I've done.

I have 20 something on a list, some probably wont want one, one is banned, I planned on sending PM's to them and popping the rest up as a first come first serve basis, probably from the voter list, but that still seems odd to me, just because a person didn't vote, but had input, or even if they didn't have input but want one, they don't count?? I don't know, this is a good but crazy problem, I'm afraid somebody is not going to be happy.

I'll do my best to not let that happen, this is important to me, it's become more than trying to make a few dollars.
