First, @AzScorpion please delete / close my previous post as I have more info to share

SO, after having received a M-6766-R23, as was I informed of the error in my ways and we'll leave it at that, this kit doesn't fit my MY 22 either.

The lower hose appears to be no issue.

The issue now is the upper hose has a connection port for a Crankcase Pressure Sensor which my vehicle does dot have. OH, the hose would fit like a charm.

So this morning I called FPP and the gentlemen said I quote " that's because you needed to order a M-6766-B23, the one for the Bronco". Can't make this stuff up.

I then tell him that's the first one I RCV'd and the upper hose was fine but the lower hose wouldn't fit.

I did say I was willing to plug the connection port with a screw and fill with JB Weld.

His response, e-mail us at FPP and we'll get you the correct hose.

SO, even if I did order the M-6766-R23 from Levittown Ford, there'd still be an issue.

If you plan to get one of these, I suggest you look at the instructions first, see attached, page 3 of 6, to see if your truck has the Crankcase Pressure Sensor on the currently installed factory hose.

Good Luck.

I was actually thinking/planning on getting one of these for my 2021. But it has gotten so confusing about what will and won't fit, which part # to get, that I'm just gonna wait till someone orders/gets/installs one, on a 2021, without any problems.
Much too confusing for such a simple part and install.

My late 2021 uses top hose from M-6766-B23, and lower hose from M-6766-R23.

Below is the updated instructions for M-6766-R23 and M-6766-B23.

M-6766-R23 is for the 2019 model year only. It's the only year that has the Crankcase Pressure Sensor.

The instructions you provided says 2019 - 2021 up top.

M-6766-B23 is for 2020-2023. It shares it with the Bronco. It also has a picture of the Crankcase Pressure Sensor. But it says....."sensor shown is not applicable" in red.

The B23 lower hose will not fit a MY 22 but the top hose will.

it was comical when the FPP bubba said I needed to order the B23 and the keyboard warriors said I needed the R23.

All I can say is I need a lower hose from the R23 and an upper hose from a B23 kit.

I almost asked if I had a 2.3 Windsor or Cleveland.

My Ranger has a 03-21 build date....to be honest, don't know if that's "early or late". Early in year, but late in production run for 2021 ???
Since even Ford dosen't know what kit fit's what, anyone who has installed a kit on a 2021, please stand up and be counted !!!

I guess they made a mistake with packaging. The current batch should have the correct hoses hence the updated instructions. Thing is, you can't tell until you try to install it.

@ControlNode wasn't this your exact experience too?
More or less, yes. When I ordered mine from CJ pony, they specifically listed the R23 kit as 19 to 23 Ranger. They have since updated their listings to match what was on Ford performance at that time, but I think Ford performance website has changed it again. Since, they're listing was incorrect and I already started the install, they just sent me the B23 kit at no charge so I could get the proper upper hose. I have a B23 upper hose, the actual separator and mounts are the same in both kits, and I have the R23 lower hose. And then a box of my garage I have the hoses don't fit my truck as well as an extra mount and separator.

If you people (yeah I said it!) later year Rangers 2020+ literally don’t have the crank case pressure sensor, just buy an oem PCV tube for a 2019 for $25 on eBay and harvest the sensor to plug your hole…..done.

I had considered that, but I reached out to the seller and got a free correction, and almost enough spare parts for a second kit (just plug the hole in the 2019 Ranger Upper hose and it's a Bronco kit due to the lower hose).

I wonder if the hose/s can be purchased separately to make up a proper "kit" for my 2021. Interesting !!!
Pulling up a photo of the kit on Ford Parts site...it looks like each hose has a sticker with it's own part #.
If you decide to sell xtra parts, please post.

This has been one CHARLIE FOXTROTf rom the git-go.

Again what was entertaining that a call to FPP stated I needed the B23.

I too ordered from CJPONY as they had the best price and provided a fed ex label to return the B23 for the R23. i hope they can recover the costs from FORD due to their FOXTROT UNIFORM.

a quick google search found nothing to being able to purchase the B23 upper separately.

When one pays close to $300 for a part from the OEM, one shouldn’t need to Gerry Rig things and my apologies to any Gerry’s on the forum.
