Update. I’ve never had the truck shift as good as it has been after past adaptive shifting resets. The only difference now vs past resets is that I utilized the setting to not allow adaptive shift strategy after I cleared the adaptive shift strategy from the truck.

So now we wait and see if there is any long term detriment as the transmission continues to wear and do transmission things. Without the ability to bandaid itself, I'm curious whether it'll be a fatal mistake or just act like any other dumb transmission from years gone by.

Reading your last post though...I can't help but wondering if your repeated resets were working against you?

If there is any extra wear incurred by having the adaptive process off I will gladly accept that over having erratic shift patterns. I also change the fluid and filter every 30k vs 150k that the manual states, so that will help to minimize if there are any impacts from increased wear too.

I am just worried how this is going to react with my modified trans maps from my LMS tuner vs FORscans off switch for the adaptive. I like the way it shifts like day 2 after a tune reload. Then it goes thru cycles of awesome and dumb after that. I think the moon phase has something to do with it honestly.

I have not turned adaptive off yet, but I plan to. Once I find a sweet spot it going off. If later I find the transmission acting up I'll reset and let it adjust to the new environment. I also plan to change the fluid every 30K-50K depending on how filthy it gets between intervals. Will be easy to check that with Fitsmotor's dipstick.

I did not find any of this using forscan.

Am I missing something?

I found that re-adding the FP tune after removing it to link up to Forscan and turn it off the adaptive teams simply reactivates the adaptive learning again. To me it appears this functionality will only work with a stock tune truck.

I turned the adaptive learning off and I must say that it is much better, gear changes are smooth, faster and do not slip, and I noticed that fuel consumption has improved. I cleared the adaptive tables and then halted the learning process.

No, taxes are guaranteed.

Every time someone buys something, whether their net worth is $10 or $10,000,000 they pay that tax.

You are just talking about federal/state tax on income.
Ed Zachary, buy a gallon of gas, one paid a tax.

Back to topic.
