Today we went to go see a bunch of houses. . .

most were built after 2010. . . LOL

most.

The others were in neighborhoods that made the clampets (SP) look refined. . .

But, I woke up and was looking at mountains and it isn't 100% humidity and 108* outside. . .

Move up here to SD & buy my place. Then I'd feel much more comfortable making an offer on the one with all the garage space.

Where did you get the Launch 4? I have been looking for a damascus blade version for a few years now!

Since we're showing off our knives....

I moved to this knife a year or so ago from an auto opener... I really liked the auto opener but love to a lighter less fancy knife. This is my EDC, it's sharp enough for most tasks and I love the built in glass breaker.

PXL_20230714_182922310.jpg

The aluminum scales make it super light but sturdy.

My going out knife cycles because I carry them everywhere and have had to toss several... At 15 or 20 bucks a piece they are disposable in my mind.

In the door pocket of the truck I carry a line cutter, as well as a big Gerber.

Those lights are cheap enough too that many are disposable when they stop working. I have a warrior 2 as my EDC light and a door pocket light, as well as glove box, and rear door....

Ohh and my new favorite pants are Kuhl Silencer pants... I have them in every color. ?
Sweet Jebus that Benchmade Bailout has some wear, lol. 1 year? WOW.

I switched to the same knife about 3 years ago, daily carry and LOVE it. Not a fan of tanto lades, but everything else on it is perfect. I lost it last winter for a few weeks, found it after the snow melted on my grass. Here it is with my latest, a Benchmade Mni Barrage also in M4 steel but carbon fiber scales (spring assisted, we can't have full auto in Canada).

Test fit my new roof boxes. Second one arrived shortly after. Once I know I will clear my garage door, I will be hard mounting these.
Anyone know why I can't see video/photos in this post? I can play the video, but no image, I only get the audio. Every other photo/video on the forum seems to be fine.

Yeah, I am a little hard on my knives. ?

I find the tanto to be a pain in the arse to sharpen and won't buy another one...I would send my auto striker back to benchmade for service so they could replace the spring and make it fast again, but this one I sharpen myself.

I watched a work sharp video and was tempted to try and make it not tanto, but my luck if just ruin the blade. ?

I'm probably doing the blade mod with my Wicked Edge when I finally sharpen it. Even with the minor rust on the blade now, it is still razor sharp (M4 is da bomb!) but plan on sharpening it before I go back to work in November.

I can't see it either on my MacBook Pro. I tried using Firefox and it's the same only audio. But I can see it on my iPhone 14 so I'm guessing I need to do a software upgrade on the laptop.

It's been a few years but I think I got it hear (ordered a pair - a green on and the gray one in my pic):

https://kershaw.kaiusa.com/launch-4.html

They are more fun than useful. The Damascus blade is very, very thick. But good for boxes and apples in the work lunch room! =)

Edit: I just realized you're asking about the availability of the Damascus blade ... =(

Edit 2: Maybe here but only in green but a really good price:

Two things yesterday after work and quick lawn mowing - one minor and one that scared me! =p

The minor
I added a little knife to my grab-n-go in my bed. That's just a small flashlight and a little knife.

It's an Olight and they seem to last forever on a charge (I do need to add the Wolfhaus thing that I've had from before I even got the truck so I can carry the magnetic charge cable). The Olight has a magnetic base and it never moves even though it's almost at the rear of the truck.

The knife is a Kershaw that's supposedly even legal in California. It's small but a fun spring-assist knife (I'm a bit of a knife and sword nut). If I ever get tangled up in my ropes while unloading at the dump, I could self-rescue. Dump runs are manly and dangerous - do not attempt at home (your spouse will yell at you for dumping in the backyard). =D

driver-side SwingCase bracket (SwingCase is US-made)

Olight has several easy-to-use settings & this Kershaw is US made (love the laser-etched flag)

I did a Master Reset! My calendar date has been one day in the future and it can't be set in settings. And it never updated despite a software update and 6+ months of driving with a paired phone.

It was easier than I thought, I sat in the running truck and it took about 5 minutes. I took pics of my radio presets and I don't have nav, so I potentially would only lose my presets and phone pairing. I didn't even think about the FordPass, which I need to go reconnect this morning.

took pics of presets because I have a crap memory

yikes, lots of hesitation but ...
2.jpg

dang, makes me nervous when it goes blank
3.jpg

phew, logo appears
4.jpg

then ends on this screen, no success message, seems odd but hey ...
5.jpg

had to re-pair phone, then phone later told me that Soupie was removed from FordPass =(
6.jpg

hey! the date's now correct! holy smokes! =) now we return to your regularly scheduled dump run!

LOL, I'm a thinker ... not.

It was thankfully pointed out by a fellow member that this isn't legal in Canada. And considering I'm also a Canadian citizen and live so close, maybe I should take it out!

Two months back when we did out day trip to Vermont and Upper State New York, we almost crossed into Canada. We were only blocks away from an entry point. Luckily Cheech was with us and being mostly Chihuahua, he doesn't have his papers for going into Canada.

Had we gone in, it sure would have been awful to have them find that knife! I better stick to a Leatherman ... =D

I can see the headlines:

A New Hampshire Libertarian* was caught smuggling WMDs into the country.

Then I'd be labeled a terrorist with a record of intent to distribute Weapons of Minor Destruction.

* - Live Free or Die - all us New Hampshire folks are Libertarians with hidden shipping container bunkers buried in the woods! =)
