TPMS BRONCO RIMS ON RANGER

Guys I just got a set of 2022 Bronco rims and tires SUPPOSEDLY with all TPMS inside and put them on my 21 Ranger. The guy swears the TPMS are in there so I have to assume they are .

I put my 2021 Ranger in programming mode via the key swizzling 6 times sequence etc and the truck honks , dash display sends me to the left front tire . I bought one of those ebay cheap TPMS tools , push the button on the ebay TPMS tool the light lights but the horn never honks etc....I even tried going to other tires - same deal no successful programming . I even tried the procedure with a very powerful neo magnet instead of the TPMS transmitter tool and still nothing. I have driven the truck 100 miles at least and its not automatically picking up any sensors as some have said . Do you guys have any advice ? What to try ? Thanks !

Sounds like there aren't any in there... could always swing by a discount tire or something and have them check. Not that its the end of the world not having them, i got my current wheels and tires for so cheap that i couldn't be annoyed that i didn't have TPMS sensors in there. Been going on 2 years without them, light on the dash doesn't even phase me anymore

I'd go to DT and see if their programmer works...Ebay tool might be junk...

I bought a set of Tremor wheels and tires with the TPMS from @bfastr not long ago. Brought them home and had my local dealer put them on for me…and the TPMS sensors didn’t register. The Ford dealer scanned each tire and found nothing. So after a couple of days driving on them the tires started registering the air pressure…which I thought was weird. So I took it back to the dealer to make sure the correct tire was paired to the correct corresponding location in my truck’s tire pressure display, and the dealer informed me that sometimes when the wheel hasn’t been in motion for awhile the TPMS sensor battery can run down. Apparently the tire rotation keeps the monitor’s batteries charged. Run on them a couple of days to see if all of a sudden they start working. Just a thought.

Correct but in the old days you didnt have the dash constantly beeping at you and flashing telling you TPMS isnt working . Would love to just ignore it but simply cant .

Tx for the advice ...I have driven about 125 miles so far ..... .I think these are goners (IF THERE ARE ANY IN THERE) ....the guy said they had been in the garage a year at least and strangely I noticed they all had only 10lbs of air in them. I wonder if when they are underinflated they send constant blind low psi transmissions until they are dead . Will provide a follow up.....Im going to Discount tire tomorrow .

There is also the possibility that the Bronco TPMS sensors broadcast on a different frequency than the ones in the Ranger and the Ranger won’t pick up the signal. Or maybe they’re vehicle specific like Jeep does on the Gladiator (ask me how I know)…I wouldn’t think so, but you just never know with Ford. Either way, keep us posted and good luck.

I put Tremor rims and tires on my 2019 Ranger and I couldn't get them to program either. A local shop, Discount Tire and the local Ford Dealer tried to program them as well with no success. I ended up using my Ford points and just bought new ones.

Tried programming a Ford steelie takeoff with TPMS I have in the garage with the ebay tool last night and it worked ......horn honked , dash display told me to go to the next tire etc ......so the $11 tool was worth it lol.... tx J .

Yes, Dark Ages Stuff, like vent windows, manual steering, drum brakes, bench seats, am manual tune radio's...
But being from the Dark Ages, I'm used to it. Still carry and use tire pressure gauges on the Ranger, Subi, and travel trailer, in addition to TPMS....gotta make sure the TPMS's are telling the truth !!!!
Look at it this way.....
Your Ranger has a warning sensor to let you know when/if the oil gets low....do you wait to see the light before you check it...no, it also has a dipstick which we all use regularly to check the oil level.....why manually check it if there's no warning ? PEACE OF MIND (and the fact you don't want to or trust the light/sensor)

I installed bronco wheels on my ranger with TPMS, zero programming. I cannot say with any confidence that the order/position shown was accurate for the bit i ran them, but it did give me readouts for all four.

They are just slightly larger bridgestone duelers so I am trying to wear down my ranger tires and will switch to those full-time when fully worn.

I bought a Autel TPMS tool many years back and has been nice to add to your tool box.

I do believe the Bronco TPMS are the same as the Ranger, 315Mhz

The F150's use 315Mhz and 433Mhz TPMS

The TPMS tool doesn't do much other than WAKE up the sensors... and give you the serial number and battery life of the sensor.
