Went to install new filter and this is the one I was replacing…

Apparently installed it 90 degrees wrong LOL. I can’t figure out how that would cause these results.
More airflow = better fuel mileage! ?

Yep, Once a year for mine, regardless of mileage.

Tip, get 2 and keep one on hand as a spare.

Damn , spoke too soon , started hearing a noise like a damn leaf or something got in the fan (no , not another 10mm , that would sound more metallic ) , took it back out and my fat hand and fingers cant get in there !!! I could barley reach the fan blade with one finger and spin it , and sure enough as it went around i could feel a little something , but couldn't get it out ! DAMN IT ! I ran fan on high in hopes of chopping the offender up in tiny pieces but it was still hitting , finally had to stick my finger in there with fan running and grind it off , no blood , but i left a little skin in there ...

It's all on me, that is the Ford filter I installed at 20k miles. I'm blaming it on the writing and airflow arrow which was only on one side. I think I assumed that side should be in front.

It's possible cold frosties played a part as well.

Shiit happens. At least it wasn't in there for 50k miles.

Mine was upside down.

After looking at the type of people ford has on their assembly line via B roll footage, didn't surprise me.
