Not to hijack this thread but Dave were you in the Navy?
No I wasn't Andy. I have family members who served so you're eligible that way. I've been with them for years and NFCU is a really good CU.

LOL, I was thinking the same thing. Why ask this question in a truck forum.
I can see asking for advise here but if you were a CFO you really should know all this. lol

Someone mentioned amortized rates, I thought car loans are simple interest loans..

Im thinking if you’re a CFO, you shouldn’t need advice on financing a car or how to find the best interest rate.

0% will be a very short term and a very high monthly payment. Not everyone can handle that. I do the 72 month to keep the interest as low as possible, and reduce the monthly so I can pay extra and pay it off early, and ultimately pay far less than the total interest.
For sure it's a balancing act. But 0% is always preferred. If doable, I'll take a short term 0% anytime.

In the best of times 0% can be found out to 60 months if you wait till the right time. Even now that 0% I saw advertised on 150s was for 48 months.

Iā€˜m blessed that I don’t have to worry about borrowing $ for a vehicle purchase. My son has a Bronco on order and is looking for a 72 month loan. His credit rating is 810+. What kind of rates is he looking at? Dealer won’t tell him till the vehicle arrives.
Just did a google for credit unions in your area ... depending on which you can join for a 72 month loan you are looking at 6.99 to 8%. I would stay away from banks and unless Ford has a deal (they have had 0% for 72 months) I would stay away from anything offered by them .

Looking at Ford Credit, the Bronco is 7% across the board while F150's are 0 for 36, 3.9 to 60, 5.9 for 72, and 6.9 for 84. Yikes.

Ford did mine at 1.9 , 15 months ago ...
About the same on refiancing my lease buyout through my credit union about 15 months ago. Current rate would be 4.5 or more.
