Have the afternoon off. Got home and wife says grand-daughter is getting all fancied up for me tonite! Wife is cookin' some kind of casserole with sweet corn on the side. Daughter-in-law is making a birthday cake for me! Yep..........birthday #56 today!

I made black bean soup & Mexican cornbread. Delicious!

Made a pot of chili today. My wife made a cornbread. Great dinner for the next 3 nights with some aged irsh cheddar melted in. ?.

Celebrating our productive home vacation with some tacos. Kate kept it easy to make and mixed in Pace Salsa and Cheese Salsa into ground meat. Queso fundido con carne a la Kate!

A side of refried beans, Modelo, and Oreos for dessert! =D

Even Cheech celebrated his Chihuahua heritage and scarfed down plenty of ground sirloin.

And it put us in the mood for our favorite Western! Any guesses? =)
